Jan 19th 2011 5:24PM I was a teen parent, and most of you are absolutely correct. Its a parenting problem. I also think its about these kids not having to be responsible for their actions. Boys(because they dont even come close to acting like young men half the time) are not worried about having a baby at all, nor are they worried about how to pay for it. They figure they can have their 15 seconds of fun and then thats where it ends, and if something happens along in 9 months, that its not their problem. And for the most part, our society says that this behavior is perfectly acceptable. When I was 18 and pregnant I was scared, but I took responsibilty for myself and my son(8 now) I finished high school, and got a JOB while my son's dad and my future husband went to college 4 states away. It was hard but the choices I made required these sacrifices. We are now a happy healthy family of 5 and have been married for nearly 7 years. Not every teen pregnancy has to turn out to be a negative statistic, if the new parents can pull it together then maybe things can work out.

Sep 28th 2010 6:13PM I think that the biological father should get the boy but be required to keep in contact with the adoptive family for the boy's sake. He is a very lucky child that his dad found out and has 2 families that love him enough to fight for him. My mother actually pulled the same crap, and my dad didnt know, and we didnt meet until I was 22.
