Vegetarian passenger tosses meat at flight attendant {Gadling}
Mar 21st 2011 11:18PM I agree with William!! Your comment was stupid. Seriously, stupid. Flight attendants are not there to make sure your meal is to your liking. They are there for safety. Safety is their priority. If a mistake is made, just kindly ask to have it changed. Seriously!!
Today Show Plays Santa for Military Families {Holidash News}
Dec 24th 2009 11:29PM I guess I just don't get it. Why is this family so special? My husband is in Afghanistan and my kids and I seem to be the only ones in this country who appreciate it. Are we the only ones who remember 9/11?
Does Disney's 'Princess and the Frog' Deserve the Controversy? {Moviefone Blog}
Sep 25th 2009 11:31PM Seriously!!! Are we changing history, now? I am white and both my great grandmother's names were Maddy. It was a common name for that era. In 1920, it would have been common for a young black woman to have been a maid for a white family.
Encouraged by General's Report, Gates is Open to More Troops in Afghanistan {Politics Daily}
Sep 3rd 2009 8:37PM Check your facts. Senator John McCain has sons in the Navy and in the Marine Corps and Vice President Biden has a son in the military as well. We have an all volunteer military. They signed up for this. While their family members may prefer that they be at home, that is not their job. By the way, my husband is in the Marine Corps Reserves. He is currently serving a year in Afghanistan.
This Ain't Your Daddy's Amtrak - It's Worse {Politics Daily}
Aug 18th 2009 8:37PM I thought I was the only one. I took my first and last Amtrak trip a week ago. My daughter and I bought "first class" tickets from Chicago to Bloomington. Initially told that a meal was included in our ticket, we found that not only would dinner be served after we got off the train, but not food or drink at all was available during our trip. We were told that a snack bar would be open soon after the trip began, but after an hour we tried to access the "cafe" and were met with a rude "you need to wait for the announcement! We are not open!" In fact, the entire staff on the train was rude and unhelpful. The worst thing was that when we got off the train in Bloomington, we asked 3 people about our luggage. They all directed us rudely to "go wait in the station." So, we waited in the station to find out that not only did they not take our bags off the train, we would have to wait 4 hours to have them returned to us, causing us to miss the last flight out of Bloomington to Atlanta. Having to spend the night in a hotel in Bloomington and paying another day of parking at the Atlanta airport, I called Amtrak to complain. After 5 phone calls, I finally spoke with a representative who had nothing to offer other than a travel voucher. Really??? I will never ride on Amtrak again. I hope no one else does either.
