11 Outrageous Taxes {WalletPop}
Feb 18th 2011 11:58AM The simple way is to restore the Estate tax.
You're dead. You don't need it anymore. Be grateful you lived in America. Once upon a time income & estate tax was up to 90%. The government has to pay for the greed to get there along the way, they should be paid back in the end. The heirs still get some blood money, and a new partner. Uncle Sam.
Trust tax. 15% of the net value a year. Plain simple fair across the board everybody pays no loopholes no deductions on money intended to skip the taxation system.
About 20 billion a year just with that tax (15%) using known figures of a dozen major trusts. Meanwhile, petty Joe Citizen is nickle and dimed for his daily pleasures. I'm just sayin...
Dixie Carter, Star of 'Designing Women,' Dead at 70 {PopEater}
Apr 11th 2010 1:50PM One of the things about an artist who performs in intimate settings, is that the audience often gets a rare glimpse into the personal personality of an entertainer. Dixie Carter shared a part of herself in her many roles, and was a wit & joy in person.
Deepest sympathy to her family and many friends.

Should overweight passengers pay extra for airline tickets? {Gadling}
Dec 10th 2009 11:06PM All these comments about 2 seats, 2 fares, and NOT ONE, about children who fly free. That is why we should show these paying passengers, some consideration. The airlines should bow to good public relations for the small percentage of overweight clients, just as they do for younger passengers. Remember that you might be a 150 lb chunky gal today, and a 210 pregnant woman with twins, tomorrow. You might need 2 seats yourself.
The photo being displayed is clearly a safety hazard, not to mention a comfort hazard for the paying passengers. The arms go up, and it is very easy to accommodate a passenger of size. No need for them to be, or feel embarrassed.
As for carry on luggage, it should be announced that overhead is for luggage. Small bags and coats go under the seat, and any passenger who wishes to remove the smaller items from an overhead, should be able to announce their intentions, and give them back to the inconsiderate person who put them there in the first place.
Self-checkout machines cause 'stage fright' in shoppers {Daily Finance}
Nov 3rd 2009 10:59AM I hate the possibility that the computer doesn't scan an item properly, and I don't catch it, or worse if it scans, did it post? Retailers should cut the salaries of the top ten percent of high earning employees, and keep the few dozen low wage earners employed, if they are so worried about the bottom line. Nothing makes a presence better than a cheerful employee.

Vic Chesnutt Struggling to Pay $35,000 Hospital Bill {Spinner}
Oct 23rd 2009 9:05AM Those of you posting complaints about what doctors and hospitals charge, need to review and reassess your values.
A $9. aspirin relieves 8 hours of your pain, allows you better control of your day/life. Hospitals must cover their expenses to be a benefit to the community.
ON THE OTHER HAND: NO ONE complains or cares enough that a "MOVIE" that either entertains or breaks down the fabric of society, COSTS MORE, and is usually done more frequently than your need for health care. Add the cost of other "Extras" necessary for a Movie Theater Chain to make a profit, and I flip! I cost less at the Ball Park, to get a Ball Park Frank!
Get with the program people and put these college degrees to work, in your brain & thought process.
Woman Compares Forced C-Section to Rape {Lemondrop}
Oct 7th 2009 1:57PM The Government raped her already with the FORCED Vaccines she was required to have to get the free education the Government provided, thus far. Missing the common sense to chose another hospital if she is unhappy with their advice, makes this woman look like the type who is welfare bound one day, anyway. I'd advise hairdressers to avoid contact too, since hair is an extension of the body as well. What will she say to Obama's health-care micro chip, when that day arrives?
More than the placenta detached last time around, on this woman.
