Chris Farley Direct TV Ad: Too Soon? David Spade Responds {Asylum}
Nov 3rd 2009 9:47AM I was shocked when I first saw the commercial because I don't know how they get it to look so realistic! It just amazes me. No it's not too soon. When I first saw it I thought it a little strange since Chris has been gone for so long (relevancy issue)and I would think it would make David sad, but I guess not. Glad they got the family's permission first. Wonder what Chris would think of it-would he find it tacky? Made me a little sad-who wants to be reminded of a well known actor who died because of his love for many things in excess? You think he would have learned from Belushi. Also, never found fat guy in a little coat funny at all, even though I liked Chris (when he wasn't being overly obnoxious). His Chippendale's dance with Swayze is the ultimate classic that gets me laughing every time. I also like it when they did the Zagat guide skit that kept making Sandler crack up. Matt Foley-my favorite character of his, especially when Spade and Christina Applegate play the kids and he crashes through the coffee table.
Self-checkout machines cause 'stage fright' in shoppers {Daily Finance}
Nov 3rd 2009 9:24AM The self check out is so easy and I prefer it over waiting in long lines for a cashier and getting a cashier that likes to take their sweet ass time. The only thing I don't like is the ones at Wal-Mart and similar places, if you have more than two bags of stuff and you try to put the bags into your cart so you can fill up more bags with your stuff, it will say "Item removed from bagging area. Please return item to bagging area." Sometimes it gets like a juggling act because you have to leave everything in the small little bagging area. Not easy to do that if you have bulky items like gallons of milk.

Nov 3rd 2009 2:46AM Masenko-you got it almost right and I really like what you said. However, it's not enough to believe in God or that Jesus died on the cross, you have to believe in both. "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one can come to the Father except through Me."
Igraine1975-there's so much I could say to you, but what I will focus on is what you said about Paul. The reason why he was included in the Bible is to show you that even people that rant and rave against the Bible will see that it's true, that people can be truly changed through God and that God can use anyone to witness to others, including showing others His miracles-even people that used to curse Him. He was included to show you God's love.
Hotredhead9786-I truly feel pity for you and YOUR ignorance. You're right, the Bible is not the end all and be all of everything. God and Jesus Christ are. If you're right, then there's no hope for any of us and who knows what happens when we die (a fate I wouldn't wish for-to not know and to think that you're all alone on this Earth must be difficult). If I'm right, you can live for eternity in peace and love and happiness and have a good guide for your life here on Earth. Which one sounds better to you? I shudder to think what my adult life would be like without God (became a Christian at 19). By the way, my college roommate was a lesbian then denounced it and became a Christian, just to poke holes in your "being gay has been scientifically proven" theory. I know some Christians that are gay, and some straight people that are not Christian. Born gay or choosing to be gay doesn't really matter-it's if you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior that matters. It took years of education from God Himself and from friends, both gay and straight, to get me to see that while homosexuality is a sin, so is a bunch of other stuff and that we're all sinners in need of a Savior. That being said, all I really care about is if someone believes in God and Jesus with all their heart. If they do, it's all good. God will deal with all sins in His own way. And actually, if you look at science closely, you will come to the conclusion, as many scientists have including Darwin, that for everything to happen the way it does, there MUST be a God. If a lot of stuff was off just a fraction, there wouldn't be life on Earth. It's pretty amazing when you think about everything.
Personally, I think it's a shame that he's defacing someone else's property and that he's denying people the ability to read something. He's not American, that's for sure! We don't believe in censorship in this country although the last time I checked, they didn't in his country either. It's a shame he's so proud of it.

Nov 1st 2009 1:15AM I think Chris Cuomo would be the best choice. He's young, he's good looking, he's personable, people are used to him being on GMA, etc.

Oct 30th 2009 11:14PM Jesse-hopefully you will be around for the rest of your pup's life. He sounds like a great little dog. Putting him down is not the solution. Maybe you could have a friend, a neighbor, or a relative come around often and help take care of him, both with and without you (even if you're only gone for a few hours)-feed, take on walks, etc. If that person is willing to take on the dog, then if anything happens to you, the dog will be so used to that other person, that it will take time, but he'll adjust.

Oct 30th 2009 11:04PM Pets definitely mourn their playmates deaths and their humans. One of my dogs killed one of my 1 week old kittens and the first time mother cat left the 3 remaining kittens together and refused to leave the dead kitten's side, even grooming it, looking forlorn until I removed its body. Two other kittens passed away at 1 month of age, just a couple days apart. She was so upset. Luckily one kitten survived, otherwise I think she would have just been beyond depressed. Another cat of mine suddenly disappeared, taken by my ex, and the cat that was her best buddy looked constantly in all her usual hiding places for months, looking for her. Whenever I'm gone, that same cat sits on my couch, looking out the window until I return home, even if I'm gone for longer than a day. The longer I'm gone, the more distraught he gets. He doesn't eat much when I'm gone, either.
