Framed! A globe-trotting thought experiment {Gadling}

May 26th 2008 11:11AM There was a fascinating blog a number of years ago written by a girl who had fled from her wealthy (mafia?) family in Europe. Many speculated that the blog was pure fiction, but her stories, methods she used to remain anonymous, and writing were amazing to read. I can't remember the name of the blog... anyone?

Small aircraft lands on top of another in Texas {Gadling}

May 16th 2008 2:20PM Virginia as the post states or Texas as MSNBC states?

Frontier Airlines goes BANKRUPT {Gadling}

Apr 11th 2008 1:09PM Frontier's situation is quite different than Skybus and ATA's -- they have quite a bit of operating cash on hand and revenue is looking good. This move is purely to stop the credit card processor from withholding more cash than necessary. Expect the credit card processors to do the same to other airlines -- which could result in a big mess for the smaller airlines. Frontier will emerge from this shortly, unless something else drastic happens.

SugarSync client for Mac reaches beta {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Mar 20th 2008 3:00PM Simon, the great thing about SugarSync over FTPing files to a webhost is that 1) it's automatic and effortless, 2) it syncs files across multiple computers -- I've got my home directory synced between my laptop and desktop and 3) files are available from a secure website which can also be accessed from my iPhone in case my laptop goes missing. It's a pretty cheap service for what you get.

Amazon's Elastic Compute Cloud on-demand computing service {Engadget}

Aug 26th 2006 9:44AM TIMMAH!: This is a great deal if you need the instant scalability. Amazon has provided an API that can be used to programatically flip on/off additional "servers," depending on your need. If your blog gets slashdotted or dugg, your existing instance can call for help by turning on additional instances. Then after the load goes away, they can be shut off. You only pay for what you use.

Find me an outbound link on the NYT {The Jason Calacanis Weblog}

Apr 4th 2006 2:38PM They are linking to walmartfacts.com under the story "Wal-Mart to Offer Help Near Urban Stores" directly under the main story *on the homepage*. I wonder if this is a sign of things to come.
