Jan 11th 2012 1:24PM It apparent that people will put away any semblance of civility , or common sense,when crossing a motel/hotel entry way!! How many times does one need to flush a toilet? How many people need to run up and down the hallway, while at the same time ,screaming for some body, whom apparently, is not there!! I do believe that they are also enthralled at the new device called "a door", as they must use it ,and slam it, in gleeful fits!!!God help the person,in the room, next to the stairway, as most stair users need to wear 100 lb shoes, to navigate them!! Our society does not teach, nor care, about "other people! And, that is just who you are, another schmuck, out to spoil a "good time!"

Oct 25th 2011 4:32PM The negativity that this article bought out is, quite literally, depressing! I am an older person (retired) and My take about all that is discussed here, is that no one looks past what bothers them, and see's what is good and right about America! No one travels enough, out of their comfort zones, to truly see how good we have it in this country! Any person, going to Calcutta, would be horrified to see the conditions there! Any third world country, going through the genocide that occurs, at the drop of a hat, at the whim of some petty dictator,and the unbelievable suffering that ensues,would wake you up, promptly,to what we have here! The suffering of the poorest person we have in America, would be considered petty, compared to what those in the Sudan, or in Angola! Its time to actually see what we have here,and thank God, for where you were born, and how you are still able to control, some what, your destiny, and life's direction, with out the worry of some one telling you what to do! This is America, the home of the free,and if you are that depressed about it, you are free to go where ever to hell it is you think it is better! God bless America, and no one can tell me,or show me, any thing better!

Aug 29th 2011 11:27AM We have dealt with our share of real estate agents, to the point that we will not use one, ever again! Selling our first house, we entered a contract, after our selling agent,made us take much less then we had anticipated, and just before closing, the purchasers mother claimed that the house was, "to small"! We had detailed the house, the term is now "staged",and we decided to sell, our self's! It was actually a very simple process to go to our real estate lawyer, have him prepare a contract, get the potential buyer to sign, with a security deposit, that the lawyer holds, have them apply for financing,(It is better if they are "pre-approved) and get an inspection, paid for by the buyer! We have sold three houses, that way, and have had zero problems, because your lawyer is the one person who actually represents your interests, and all the real estate person does, is pat your a@@ so they can get their commission!You must, of course, advertise, but you can save thousands, selling your self! We have!!Always,remember, it does take time to sell, so allow for that, but, with a little patience,you will be rewarded!

Apr 1st 2011 10:54AM Has anybody done the comparison shopping with this "syrup"? It is double the price of any comparable syrup,(Aunt Jemima w/ butter flavor,Log Cabin/Butter flavored,various store brands) so any way they can push the consumer envelope, they will! We have found no real difference in taste with the other brands,and price point seams to be the only difference! Be the smart consumer ,check out better alternatives, your pocket book will thank you, especially now that food prices are skyrocketing!! Anyway, Being a "real man", I don't want to play with doll's (unless you count my wife as one, and I do!)in the morning!!

Mar 28th 2011 11:43AM This is all quite hilarious,as eating is for the extending of health in ones body, and the way to do that, is, to eat! The body needs varying vitamins and minerals and proteins, to maintain the various systems in the body, and a balanced diet, and only that, will determine health! Of course, in todays world, manufactured food stuffs seem to be having an impact on health for they target the taste's and cravings that we all share from earlier times in our evolution, and as such, we can over consume things not good for health, or extension of our live's !! All one needs to determine healthy habits, is to question yourself, on what is going into you body! Are you getting proper nutrition, or are you, "just filling your pie hole"!It does not require a degree in a medical field to know if you are eating healthy! If you want a good hamburger, make it yourself! Stay away from the processed food, and that includes, the so called "veggie burger",as it to is highly processed, and you cant control additives, and preservatives! Use a little common sense, and you will live as long a life, as you will be allowed to live, by your biological, and genetic allowances, and your attention to what you are eating!!

Mar 20th 2011 2:40PM While I have to admit that speculation does drive up oil prices,and food prices, it is the all encompassing need for profit, at the expense of the common good, that has damaged this country, and will continue to do so, as long as there is a Conservative led ,business oriented Congress, expounding on cutting taxes, while destroying the middle class with assaults on the very institutions that have created the last 50 years ,or longer, of growth, and prosperity! We are in uncharted waters, not having a tax base to continue services that are considered even basic to government function , and cuts to these services, are the direct result of continuing tax breaks, that have no logic, except as political pay back, for being elected, when they are needed most! When the oil companies,again register their record profits, at the expense of the guy who has to get to work, tell him again how cutting taxes/programs will help him enjoy a better life!!

Mar 8th 2011 12:34PM Had both memberships for a couple of years, and really, other than the employee's, they are pretty much the same!! Its always good sport to go on the weekends to watch the feeding frenzy for the free samples!! The Sams club associates are not payed well, nor do they get much in benefits,so what can you expect? The Costco associates are Union employees, and the difference shows! If you are backed up by your Union, you are happier,and it shows!!

They could not have done it, if we were watching!! Instead, we need the latest electronic gadget, at, of course, the cheapest price! The biggest house in the neighborhood,that uses the most resources! The fastest car, etc!! And, in the mean time, we ignore what is happening in Washington, because, "it dose not effect me"' day to day! The people of the world aspire to our life style,not realizing what that requires,large amounts of money,large amounts of resources,and complacent people, who could care less,as long as things keep coming their way! Well, the politicians (Coke or Pepsi,take your pick), have finally ran into the wall that they have been building, for us all! You don't think they have not seen the train wreck that has been building with the retirement of the baby boomers ?? Wait till these people can no longer take care of them selfs ,as they get really old! The greedy corporations, who decided long ago, that retirement pensions were "eating into their bottom lines",are to blame for, if for no other reasons,their lack of social awareness,and their attack on the Unions, who did ,as part of their contracts, get pensions for their members!! We are going to pay big time for not getting what should have been common benefits,for all workers,as part of a fair wage package,old age pensions! The impact of this, is now going to be apparent,as Boomers come "on line!"God help those people

Jan 25th 2011 11:06AM If any one thinks they are eating unadulterated food, in fast food places, you deserve to eat there, and pay the piper/doctor later! Nothing that the industrial food industry does ,is to give you what you pay for, but what they can make a profit on, making you think you are getting "real" food! Nothing could be further from the truth! ALL, fast food is manufactured! Which means that it is treated with chemicals for longevity,color retention,and (artificial) flavor! What these chemical, and fillers are, are never reveled to consumers,or for that matter,anyone! If you want REAL food, make your own! OK,no body can resist a Whopper,Big Mac,or Double stack,it is ingrained into our food culture. Just remember,once in a great while, it is OK to indulge,but realize, you are putting a chemical soup into your body, and it is best to limit your, and especially your kids, intake !
