'Risky Business' Star Calls Tom Cruise 'Biggest Bore on the Face of the Earth' {PopEater}
Oct 22nd 2009 10:29PM Bronson, my friend, we ALL loved you in Perfect Strangers.
And, ok...I DON'T LIKE TOM CRUISE - just me - obviously not public opinion.
But, dearest Bronson, c'mon - you know how this b**sh*t in Hollywood works. At this point, releasing this statement now, well, it only makes YOU look like "sour grapes" - jealous because your career didn't take off like Tom's did.
Again, I reiterate - I don't like Tom Cruise. And I believe that Bronson Pinchot has MORE CHARACTER than to dis anyone as "BIG" as Tom Cruise. My thought is that THIS is a "made up story" - not sure that either Bronson or Tom had anything to do with it.
PopEater, TMZ and the like...LAY OFF! You folks only seek out the worst in people. GO AWAY!!

Apr 6th 2009 8:03PM Thank you, Mr. Ed Pruett for your comment and for your respect of the secretarial profession. I was a career executive secretary/administrative assistant from my early twenties until my last layoff at the age of 49. I am now 55. You can figure out the rest. I was a damn good secretary and I took pride in my position and abilities and enjoyed making my boss look good. I was a team player and understood that my contribution to the team was essential and needed. I took classes in my field and kept up with the latest in technology. But, in the last few years things have changed - and not for the better. Regardless of my worth and my work ethic, I find that my skills and abilities are no longer appreciated in today's business world, nor is my age. I am many years away from being able to retire. Even if I could afford to go "back to school" and learn a new trade, I would still end up being a still be a novice in my 50's in a new field. Given today's economy, it is highly unlikely that I would be hired, since I would be competing with 20-somethings just out of college. And so, I join the rank of losers - and the people around me think that I don't want to work. Something is wrong with this picture. In any case, Mr. Pruett, thank you - for remembering a time when one's secretary was also one's best ally.
Makover needed: Cell phone plans {WalletPop}
Oct 23rd 2008 5:53PM I live in San Francisco and we use Metro PCS - it's great! We have unlimited local and long distance and texting (although we don't text much) and you do NOT get charged for incoming calls. You pay on the first of the month for that month only and if you do not pay by the second of the month, Metro shuts off your service until you go into one of their stores and pay for the month (no penalties and no reconnection fees). Since it is month-to-month, you can quit at any time. You do have to purchase the phone, however, but the initial outlay is generally under $200 and we pay $52.00 per month. You do not have to give any credit card info either - and if you stop paying they do not charge a termination fee nor does anything go against your credit rating. The downside - calls do tend to drop more frequently than other cell services, you don't get good signal in some areas (especially in well-to-do suburbs (the kids refer to Metro as "ghettro') and you can only use it in certain Metropolitan areas in the US. However, it works for us - no bills and no ugly surprises at the end of the month!!
San Francisco divided over measure to legalize prostitution {Gadling}
Sep 20th 2008 4:05AM San Francisco is NOT ruined. I live here - I grew up here, I went to school here. Yes, it IS expensive and crowded and crazy and sometimes weird - and it is also liberal, cosmopolitan, cultured, interesting, beautiful and worth saving, and is definitely NOT a city to be easily written off as "ruined" - I'm sorry that you feel the way you do about this beautiful City by the Bay that is my hometown.
Oh, and, by the way, please get your facts straight. Prostitution is NOT legal in Reno, Nevada. (I lived there at one time, too!) Reno is in Washoe County - prostitution is illegal in Washoe County, but it IS legal right outside the county line, where one can find several LEGAL brothels that are clean and regulated.
If you are going to make a comment, please check your facts!!!
Post Breakup Do's and Don'ts {Personal Articles}
Jul 14th 2008 2:28AM BULLHOCKEY! Remain friends with as many ex-es as you can! That will serve you well in the years to come. I am friends with most of my ex-es - I am widowed now, but even my husband agreed - he had stayed friends with many of his ex-es too! If you once loved, you don't have to hate. Remember to set some boundaries so that the former lover doesn't get confused - and be straight up and honest with your current love as well as your ex-es. IT WORKS, I KNOW!!
Oregon Fans Threatened to Kill Kevin Love, Called His Mom, Grandma, Sister 'Whores' {Fanhouse NCAA Basketball Blog}
Feb 27th 2008 11:31PM Justin - you posted the first comment - you said "oh boo-hoo! grow up, take the insults, and move on. when is the last time in American sports that a player was attacked/killed/etc by a fan after he told him he would do so...
Here in San Francisco this is not a joke!
The FATHER of a young female high school girl, a promising African American athlete, was MURDERED right here in SF in the parking lot during one of her games.
This is not about race, or about taking the insults, and not being a crybaby - this is REAL - you don't threaten people's lives and the lives of their families - not over ANY DAMN GAME!!
Alcatraz torn down to make way for peace center? {Gadling}
Feb 7th 2008 3:01AM It was voted down - probably only a few people even bothered to vote on this - it was kind of a nuisance proposition - nobody in San Francisco took it seriously, trust me.

Update: Sanz, Parnell, and Thompson off SNL {AOL TV}
Aug 24th 2006 1:14PM I will really miss Kenan Thompson - he has been a favorite of mine since his "knuckle-puck" role in Mighty Ducks. He really is much funnier than what was written for him at SNL - and that's another thing - I say that Lorne should can some of the writers!!! Lately the writing really sucks - I'm not sure that SNL will be able to survive without Tina Fey either!
