Photo Gallery: Abandoned Americana {Gadling}
Oct 25th 2011 2:36PM I love old abandoned buildings, you just can't help but wonder what sort of family lived there, what they did for a living, if they were farmers, what sort of animals they raised and what sort of crops they grew, my bf and I had a discussion about a year ago, driving thru rural VA backroads, we couldn't help but wonder, what if money was put into restoring and reviving those homesteads that already existed instead of building crappy cookie cutter houses out of premanufactured kits, whether just restoring and updating a house would make homes more available to people for purchase vs. gov't subsidized houses and half-a-million dollar cookie cutter plots on a 1/4 acre. . .
Restaurant Bans Young Children {AOL Small Business}
Jul 12th 2011 11:44PM bout time someone stood up to parents. . . I was at Red Lobster this past weekend and we got sat next to a large party including several children who did not ONCE sit down they were running laps around their party's table and ours!!! On several occasions one of the kids even ran into the chairs in which we were sitting. I was like "omg who in their right mind thinks this is appropriate behaviour!?!?!?"
I was at TGI Fridays one night as well and this kid kept poking his head over the booth and making faces at me and completely ignored his mother telling him "stop hunny, that's not nice, they're trying to eat". I finally started making faces right back at him. He turned a lovely shade of red before turning around and sitting down to eat his own dinner!

Sketchy or Straightforward? CoverGirl Mascara Ad Uses Fake Lashes for 'True Volume' {Stylelist (Main)}
May 31st 2011 7:23PM I've tried this mascara and it's awful, I've never had such bad sticky messy clumps on my lashes. . . and on top of that, it makes my eyes itch and burn horribly and even made my lashes look shorter and stumpy, much like Nicole's "before" pic
Report: Christopher Knight and Adrianne Curry Have Separated {PopEater}
May 30th 2011 11:31AM I seem to remember on an episode of Surreal Life, Adrianne was talking to her manager about him and she said something along the lines of how being w/Christopher would improve her career and she said "I'm gonna bag me a Brady", I knew it wouldn't last she was just using him to further her career. . . the fact that it lasted this long really surprised me
Teenager Fakes Pregnancy to Teach Lesson on Prejudice {ParentDish}
Apr 22nd 2011 5:40PM this is nothing new, on that MTV show "High School Stories, Scandals, Pranks, and Controversies", a girl did it for her senior action project not sure what this is going to teach about tolerance or w/e but I'm not sure what sort of awareness this is going to raise, pretty much every girl I knew in high school and college who got knocked up continued going to school til the baby was born, hell, I had one girl my senior year walk at graduation 9 months pregnant then that night gave birth to a baby girl
The Drevitches, Week 27: Why Workouts Work {ParentDish}
Apr 15th 2011 3:28PM congrats on the 43 pounds, that's not easy to lose, I know, I've done it over the course of the last year and I still struggle w/plateaus from time to time but it sounds like you have an awesome trainer (I'd prolly cry if I had to work w/someone like the trainers on Biggest Loser tbh) but I agree, keeping your body confused it what keeps you burning calouries and losing weight. I try to do the same thing myself, mixing up different actitivies (swimming, vball,elliptical, bike, etc.) I hope more "people like you" find inspiration in your story and take a chance to improve their health too!

Does Your Bra Fit? Chances Are It Doesn't {Stylelist (Main)}
Apr 4th 2011 8:18PM Susan:
sagging breasts can be caused by a number of things: age, stunted under-breast tissue developement, weight loss and weight gain, child bearing. Women whose nipples seem to point straight down towards the floor (myself included), suffer from stunted tissue developement. I'm sorry but w/o a bra to provide that lift and support, my boobs hang to my belly button. Now, I've been losing weight (40 lbs in the last year) and have gone from a 42G to a 38H just on diet and exercise and exercise helps to strengthen the supporting pectoral muscles, thus "firming" the breasts but I'm nowhere near being able to go braless.
Does Your Bra Fit? Chances Are It Doesn't {Stylelist (Main)}
Apr 4th 2011 2:52PM bras cause cancer? you've GOT to be kidding me!!! these days EVERYTHING causes cancer. I'm a fairly large chested woman (38H), there's no way in hell I can get away w/o wearing a bra, so I'll take my chances! Also, my boobs are wider too, as another poster stated and as someone who used to work as a bra fitter, may I recommend a balconette-style bra, they're really designed to support larger chests and stay away from tee shirt and plunge bras, they're cut narrower and don't support larger chests at all! You should also get fitted every 6 months or so b/c the size of your breasts fluctuate all the time and lace bras are by far the best for support b/c they maintain their shape and wear longer than molded cup bras
