Sep 7th 2011 8:32AM I am the General Manager of a hotel that has in room safes and yes there is a passcode and no it is not four zeros. I am the only one who has knowledge of that code. That is not to say other hotels haven't changed the original default code. It's good to check. As for the why is there a default code, just imagine you forget your code and you need your passport to leave the city or country I bet you'd want someone to have a passcode then. That or drill it out. Costly to you and time consuming.

Oct 6th 2010 10:24AM As passionate as I am about my religion I would not get into a verbal altercation with someone in public about it. Have you ever tried to argue with a three year old? This world is full of ignorant people and one should not lower themselves even in defence of their beliefs. Physical violence is unacceptable unless you are being threatened in that way yourself. I would have gotten up and changed seats.

Aug 23rd 2010 11:41AM This is all crap. I can do more damage to someones neck with a sharp pencil than with a one and a half inch swiss army knife. They're just stealing stuff and selling it. And yes my nice corkscrew was taken out of my checked baggage. Thieves!!!!

Mar 4th 2010 3:26PM With the introduction of high quality mid scale hotels in NYC like Hampton Inn and Fairfield Inn you no longer have to pay those prices. Maybe if they had an hourly rate so they could rotate more people in and out it would be possible. The Pod idea started in Japan where the people a smaller. BTW this is not a commercial and i'm not talking about prostitution.
