On the Supremacy of the Bed and Breakfast {Gadling}
Jun 25th 2011 11:30PM I have to say that the very best website for finding great B&Bs is www.iLoveInns.com. This site actually originated from two decades of full time research on B&Bs for the publishing of bed and breakfast books - 60 editions of Bed & Breakfast and Country Inns. The writing was and is done by travel writers not the innkeepers. Of course the very best writing is from the reviews that guests give on the site.
Sex and the B&B {AOL Travel News}
Feb 9th 2011 5:38PM Shared baths in a bed and breakfast is definitely a thing of the past. Say 25 years ago. 100% of inns on the iLoveinns website and in our bed and breakfast books offer private baths.In addition 90% offer internet.
We are announcing the Top 10 Romantic Inns for 2011 - our 18th year.
For newcomers to country inns and bed and breakfasts we highly recommend that you stay in a larger inn - definitely not a 4 room place. Try an 8 room or 12 room inn and you will really feel comfortable and enjoy the feeling of being entertained at a professionally run property. Also read the reviews on a site like ours and you'll know where you want to stay. The majority of people who try a professionally run B&B are absoultely astounded at the value and the ability to de stress. They become B&B fans for life.
Road Trip Tips: make lodging part of the journey, not just a place to stay {Gadling}
Apr 20th 2010 6:22PM There's a great iPhone application for road trips that features bed and breakfasts - 6,000 of them. It's free: InnTouch
It has Nearby inns so when you travel you can see what's around you or you can search by city and state. It's really fun because most B&Bs are a block or a mile off the beaten track and you don't realize the amount of FUN and pampering and adventure you can have if you go off the motel strip.
Sipping tea with a goal: a free night's B&B stay {Gadling}
Jul 4th 2009 1:16PM This is actually a fabulous program that we at iLoveInns.com and American Historic Inns initiated many years ago. Instead of 10 night stays to earn one free night such as one hotel chain is currently advertising, you only have to stay one night and you instantly get the second night free.
You can also get this program at www.iloveinns.com or Amazon by ordering our book with the free night, Bed & Breakfast and Country Inns, 20 th edition. 1500 participating B&Bs and small inns.
