Magic Bullet Review: It's Not So Magical {WalletPop}

Feb 18th 2011 5:40PM I bought one at COSTCO for less than $50. I bought it because I needed a good coffee grinder. I laughed when I opened the box with so many items. But I must say I love it. Grinds coffee, but also makes the greatest smoothies. It is easy to store, and cleans nicely. I had never heard of it until I saw it at COSTCO in January 2011. (I actually believe this item was less than $40 with all (more than 10) pieces.

5 frank cruise tips the cruise line won't tell you {Gadling}

Jan 3rd 2011 10:48PM Oh yes, the TP is horrible on the ship, even in a Grand Suite, which we recently spent 10 days in. I believe like others, that the TP is formulated to degrade for the delicate plumbing systems on the ships.

I bring baby wipes and use the sanitary napkin bags to dispose of the wipes.

I love cruising, and I sometimes buy the tees, jewelry, watches, etc. that they offer on the ship. But, I don't have to buy anything. We are fortunate enough to be able to book a suite, and with that we have a "free" happy hour cocktails offered for a couple of hours each night. Also, expresso, lattes, soft drinks, and snacks.

So many people were complaining on this last cruise, the weather was bad, didn't like their dinner, drinks were expensive, yada, yada, yada. These are the complainers and nothing makes them happy. I on the otherhand am grateful for everyday I am alive and make the most of it.

We also booked with a company that offered us "pre-paid" gratuities and of course if the service was exceptional we added to that.

We also only booked one excursion through the ship. The others we booked before we left and made sure we had plenty of time to get back to the ship. We saved about one half by doing this.

Happy Sailing :)

TripAdvisor Warning Travelers of Fake Hotel Reviews {Switched}

Jul 17th 2009 9:28AM I am dismayed after hearing about this several weeks ago. I love to write a review when I return from a vacation. I also rely on those same reviews. I believe Tripadvisor is a quality site and I hope they find some way to screen (I read there are measures they can take) to keep the reviews honest. I have even had emails sent to me asking what room I stayed in etc. Overall Tripadvisor has been my go to site to check out hotels, and so consequently I'll write a review upon my return.

The Closer Kitty Passes Away on Show and Real Life {Pawnation OLD}

Jun 27th 2009 7:15PM My cat, Big Boy, had surgery 4 weeks ago for torn ligaments, and an injury to his knee. I am fortunate that I could afford treatment for this very expensive injury. He is an outdoor cat, and he was running from,or trying to catch something. He has 8 weeks of recovery ahead, we are halfway through, and he (we) just got back from vacation (to cabin) with him, I would do almost anything to help an animal. I understand the love people have for pets. And then, there are the Michael Vicks of the world.
