Mar 20th 2012 4:35PM I am hearing more or more horror stories about HOA's suing residents, forcing them to remove objects and not allowing certain colors. Are the HOA's paying the taxes or payments on the property? NO Are they making the repairs and improvements? NO Then they shouldnt have to power to sue or make demands on residents. I would never buy a home that had HOA envolovements.

Mar 3rd 2012 12:07AM My 85 yr old Mom has been diagnosed with the beginning stage of Alzheimers. At this point she still drives, she passed both written and driving tests last year, and she still takes care of her own finances and home. My brother and I supervise. At one point my brother wanted to move her into my guest house and move my son into Mom's house. Then my son lost his job. The positives I see with this idea are, Mom would be safe and taken care of. My son would have had a nice 3/1 house to live in and only have to pay utilities. My brother wouldnt have to worry about Mom. There is a down side...for me, I am not well and it would be me taking care of her. I dont want to have to move her more then necessary. My house to assisted living to rest home? More importantly, Mom has said she doesnt want to live with either of us. I know that eventually we will have to get her help or move her, but I think we should keep her in her own home as long as possible.

Feb 18th 2012 2:37AM IF her Trust states that upon her death the house would go to both sons and that she could live there until her death then the son who is evicting her is doing it illegally. What I dont understand in these matters is why it is always the person who does the least for thier elderly relative that thinks they have the right to take everything? There is always one in the family that is greedy and vicious and only wants the money. It happened to my FIL and I have seen it with others too. Rat Bastards cant even wait for the person to die before they start grabbing and stealing.

Oct 28th 2011 8:19PM I have a similar problem. I have 2 houses but we are zoned for 1. The second guest house is legal and permitted but we have to fight every time we try to refi because the bank, even though it carries our original loan, doesnt want to acknowledge the back house. They appraised it for $300k without the back house. I had to yell remind them they finianced the 1st before they would add value for the 2nd house. At one point they said there was no permit for the 2nd house. I have one...I went to the country records office and got a copy when we bought this place. Rat Bastards...they dont want to help they are just playing politics.

Oct 28th 2011 8:15PM This is just another stimulus scam. How many peoiple will actually be able to refi under this bill? My bank called and said I qualified to refi under BO's last refi plan. But when they found out we had retired thus changing our income and that we had added a Living Trust things got difficult. They said it would be difficult to get proof of income (total BS) and that we would have to take the house out of the Trust, which costs money. There is always a catch.

Sep 23rd 2011 4:38PM Typical Hispanic Male. They act supportive in public but behind closed doors they dont get it, nor do they want to try. Unless they have the issue themselves they are not sensitive to anyone elses problem. In the case of a wife, they act like she is doing it just to annoy her husband. And if the husband does somehow have the same problem, their's is always worse and more dramatic. I have personal experience with this.
