Survey ranks Heathrow, Charles de Gaulle and Los Angeles worst airports in the world {Gadling}
Oct 26th 2009 3:02PM My wife and I travel through Frankfurt more then we care to admit ... and that airport is amongst the worst we've ever been throught. If given a choice, we'd much rather go through AMS, MUC or CPH when connecting in Europe. As for Asia, Singapore's airport is about the best that I've ever seen, we in American can learn something from them.
Best/Worst Airports {Gadling}
Nov 21st 2006 11:38AM My favourite international airports are Munich and Amsterdam --- Munich is incredibly clean, well organized and has easy exec lounge access, and Amsterdam has the best shopping of any international airport. The worst of the lot internationally is Frankfurt, Germany imho --- too huge, too bureaucratic, too much of a monstrosity. My domestic favourite is Bradley / Hartford (Ct.), for its easy access from parking ot gate -- now only if they had service to more of the places I travel.
Are kids getting brattier? {ParentDish}
Aug 20th 2006 9:21AM My wife and I are both in our 40's, as well as "soon-to-be-parents" through adoption. Growing up, our respective parents felt it was important to properly educate us as to social norms and mores in public places ... we were taken out to restaurants (not uber-fancy by nice), the theater, opera, and so forth, but were taught from the beginning what was expected of us. Once slip up, and it would be 'forever' before we were given that opportunity again.
It seems that many adults / parents today are so absorbed in their own needs and wants that they make little if any effort to teach their children proper behaviour in public. I'm no fan of out of control kids in restaurants, but have no problem in placing the blame for that squarely on their narcissistic parents.
