You might not like Disney Dream {Gadling}

Jan 31st 2011 12:44PM ‘So much for the dream ‘ The only ones dreaming are the executives at Disney to see how many people they can cram in a tin can, for some of the passengers it was more of a nightmare!

First I would like to say we have traveled on Disney cruise ships a number of times and have had great times on them. I have been reading to all the hoopla about the New Disney Dream and how great and wonderful the ship was. Well I would like to give you another view of this ship with it’s added passengers, my wife, daughter and her two children were on this ship and to say the ship was beautiful was a truth but the check in and boarding process which was normally is done in about 45 to 60 minuets took just over two hours, the lines to get to any just about anything were too long, the dining room service was terrible. I almost knew that these cruise ship companies are building bigger ship only to hold more passengers but none of the swimming pools are bigger nor the dining rooms any bigger. My wife had asked one of the staff members what was the best way to get off to one of the Islands and she had to go to two different floors to find the correct door to get off. I think the Disney people should have spent more time training their people in every area of the ship including the dining room service.

Five great European budget-friendly travel sites {Gadling}

Dec 3rd 2010 10:24AM I have been to the Ukraine twice, in 2004, 2005 and It my very well be that it has some beautiful place to visit, the only drawback was that the Ukraine is not very traveler friendly, if you try travel by renting a car there are no road or street signs. I asked a taxi driver why there are no road or street signs anywhere his reply was, we would not be in business, so it seems you the traveler at at there mercy! I'll skip the Ukraine until they make travel in there country a little more traveler friendly.

Why you shouldn't be concerned about airport x-rays and patdowns {Gadling}

Nov 17th 2010 2:38PM We travel twice a month almost every month and go through security every time we go to the airport and we don't have a problem with this new measure, I feel much safer when I know they are looking out for those who are trying to cause any harm to the airline passengers. I think the people who are complaining the most are those who don't travel frequently.

Five reasons flight attendants should become Wal-Mart greeters {Gadling}

Sep 5th 2010 9:03AM I fly on about twice a month mostly on Delta and the only FA that I have seen who work very hard are the ones who fly over seas, the one on the domestic flights spend more talking to one another or someone they know while we are waiting to get a cup of water

Less space in overhead bins? Blame it on the airplane {Gadling}

Jun 23rd 2009 9:19AM I have been traveling on business with mostly with Delta on average of twice a month for over 12 years now and I have noticed that most of the travelers are using bigger carry on, that don't fit in the size wise and that the gate agents or flight attendants don't even say anything. I have even noticed that people who are seated in the back of the plane leave their carry on close to the front leaving no room for the passengers who are seated near the front.
