Is 'The Last Airbender' Racist ... or Just Drawn That Way? {Moviefone Blog}

Jul 2nd 2010 3:47AM Hello does anyone remember Halle Berry being Catwoman? No one cried "racist" over that, or ANY time any role originally written, drawn or perceived as white, is portrayed by someone of another race or of mixed race. Oh - I forgot, Halle IS white, as is Obama and many other "black" folks whose mothers are white. Technically, they're anthropologically classified/typed as white. They just go on about being black as do others about them. In any case, this whole thing ab out Last Airbender is just someone's attempt to stir up something which would be a non-issue or be long dead as an issue if ever let rest. Look again folks at how many actors and actresses play different nationalities, races and the like.

Over Half of Netflix Viewers Too Lazy to Walk to the Mailbox {Switched}

Jan 28th 2010 8:54PM I LOVE Netflix and wouldn't change for the world. I'm happy with DVD format, too, and have no desire to change to Blu-Ray. Heck, while you're at it, why pay money to have that, new formats, HD tv, HD tv service etc when DVD look jusssst fine? and money is incredibly tight? But that's just me - a lot of folks have one or more of this already.
But - in the main- for ME, I'm overly happy with Netflix because the DVDs have the subtitles (not the plug-in types "tv" does which alters the content a lot, plus, I can't access if I'm watching the DVD player anyway) and "extras". I'm not that into the extras but sometimes I do like the gag reels, and some deleted scenes are excellent (e.g. Gladiator, yes an older movie but I never forgot how fantastic those scenes were). I'm in bed a lot with a bad back and I get the mail every day ANYway so what's the big deal? I pop a movie in, watch it however I wish to watch it, mail it back, bada bing. Long Live Netflix!

Santa Claus Calling to Tell Tiger What's in His Stockings {Fanhouse Golf Blog}

Dec 23rd 2009 8:50PM Why did AOL even post this link? They should be a bit above this. Guess not. They used to be, now they've gotten real gossip'y. I've noticed that in the past year or two, they've really slipped down in quality on that. Ick.
