Plane Answers: So you want to be a pilot? Here's how. {Gadling}

Jan 29th 2010 8:09AM Cathay Pacific and Etihad are the only 2 I know of that currently offer international (i.e. not a citizen from their country) cadet programes, and even Etihad only offers it at certain times of the year

Jan 15th 2010 7:55AM Just to add to that. The careers link which leads to the Cadet Pilot Programme only appears on the Cathay Pacific Hong Kong site. So either google "Cathay Cadet Programme" or "Cathay Pacific Careers" or go to www.cathaypacific.com and select the Hong Kong - English portal from the top right hand corner.

10 passengers we love to hate: Day 10 - Aggressive seat recliners {Gadling}

Jun 13th 2009 12:22AM No such problems on Cathay Pacific.

Their new seats are a clamshell design (in their words). The seat back is fixed, and the way you recline is to slide down and forward (kind of like slouching). It's ok, but I'm willing to trade off a true recline if it means the person in front of me can't recline back into me and stop me from using my laptop
