Aug 14th 2010 9:46PM You clearly miss the point of dedicating a month to a MINORITY group. Majority groups don't need a whole month named after them because everyday acknowledges them. The whole point of giving a group a "month" is to give them recognition and acknowledgment since they rarely get acknowledged for their positive contributions. Hints why the author of this article wanted a geek month, to acknowledge the accomplishments of geeks which is rarely noted by the general population.

Jun 21st 2009 2:51PM I agree with Becky. It's ridiculous how people are letting Jon off the hook. I do not believe that Jon is suitable or ready to be the single father of 8 children. The kids tend to like him more because he really isn't the disciplinarian of the family. He's the fun one while Kate has to do the dirty work but with Jon as their primary caregiver i'm sure the kids feelings toward him will quickly change.
Also Jon is the least responsible of the two he keeps saying that he's only thinking about his kids yet he spends all night out with college girls...please explain this? He has brought nothing but bad publicity to his family and now the paparazzi are on their family thick which can not be good for the kids.
Jon went out and bought a TWO seat sports car....for who? definitely NOT the kids. (way to consider your kids Jon) and now he's about to get a small apartment in NY which isn't enough room for his 8 kids if they wish to spend the night.
Jon just seems selfish and inconsiderate he says he's only thinking about his kids but his actions say contrary!

Jun 12th 2009 8:07PM I think the concept of paying to pee should be applied across the board, not just on the plane. I have seen quite a few public bathrooms and have been very disgusted with the look of it and the smell. I believe that if people had to pay to use it they might have a little bit more respect.

Jun 11th 2009 1:38PM The duggars have volunteer help as well as church donations and they are not getting slammed for doing so. It's nothing wrong with asking for a little help when you need it and its nothing to be ashamed of. But despite the volunteers who helped out from time to time the majority of the burden was on Kate. The volunteers were not around 24/7.

Jun 11th 2009 12:34PM WOW you people have got to be kidding ME!!! Kate may have nannies and body guards now but this has only become a recent change initially Kate had to raise all eight of her children on her own with Jon who went to work everyday. If anything its a lot easier now that the little kids are able to use the bathroom on their own, change their clothes on their own and feed themselves. Just a few years ago Kate had to do all of that for six kids all alone! So for anyone to throw in her face the fact that she has nannies now is absolutely stupid! If you had 8 kids under 10 years old and had the opportunity to have nannies you wouldn't take it?
