Arizona High School to Charge Students $25 to Graduate {Just So You Know}

May 27th 2011 9:50PM What happened to graduating in the stadium? Seats are free, chairs come from inside the school, stage built by school. The only thing seniors should pay for is the cap and gown rental. Schools are paid for through taxes. The dipolmas are earned not bought and the school should give them something back for graduating and if not provided by the school, the school district.

'Genderless' Baby Raises a Storm of Controversy {ParentDish}

May 26th 2011 7:57PM I think the parents are confused. One day soon this child will take a look between his/her legs and ask why he/she does or doesn't have a penis unless the parents have a different name for and explanation for it. My question is why did they not start this with the other two children other than giving them nongender names. Raising children is not a game or a science project.

Andrew Morton: 'Catherine and Pippa Are Very Competitive' {PopEater}

May 19th 2011 9:22AM I'm sure Mr. Morton was at the Middletons and had roast with them and heard William call Mr. Middleton "Dad." What a bunch of garbage. People will buy anything.

Boston Bans Soda on City Property {Slashfood}

Apr 9th 2011 9:52PM It has nothing to do with curbing sugar consumption. It's an excuse to curb the budget. Vending machines are expensive to have around. Besides, what keeps a person from bringing sweet beverages in with them? Are they going to have the sugar police out? Only an excuse.

Lisa Rinna a Possible Replacement for Regis? {PopEater}

Jan 28th 2011 1:29PM Please....not two women and not Lisa Rinna. Kelly is hilarious and so quick. She needs another male to bounce her quips off of.

Egypt to close Tutankhamun's tomb {Gadling}

Jan 19th 2011 4:26PM I have always thought finding ancient cities was something to marvel until archeologists out to make a name for themselves and the unsavory people out to make a buck started digging up the graves. Why bury people if others down the way are just going to dig them up to see what was eaten or what kind of dental hygiene was used. What does that teach us? All aspects of life change as the centuries go by and nothing remains the same except roaches and ants.

Five airline fees you haven't thought about (but they have!) {Gadling}

Jan 11th 2011 9:17AM I think I will get a pilots license. The next thing you know we will be required to pay the pilot before boarding or maybe fueling the plane. This is getting out of control.

Andrew Luck Clearly Isn't Thinking Like a Stanford Man {Fanhouse NCAA Football Blog}

Jan 8th 2011 12:29AM Maybe he wants to do something with his life after 40.

'Larry King Live' Tribute: The Show's 11 Greatest Moments {AOL TV}

Dec 16th 2010 8:02AM His interview with Barbara Streisand was again revealing as to why he is "retiring." My opinion is that it voluntarily involuntary. He was talking about Frank Sinatra in first person. It was time for him to go many years ago.

Feds Consider Limiting Potatoes Offered to Kids {ParentDish}

Oct 20th 2010 11:18PM I am so sick of all the hoopla about the food we eat. It doesn't make one bit of difference what anyone on this board says or what the federal government says because people will eat what they like and so will their children. When I was in elementary school we got a piece of buttered white bread with our lunch every day along with some sort of dessert like chocolate frosted cake and we weren't fat. The difference? We played outside at school and at home. We actually had a recess that was long enough to get in some kickball, softball or tag. We didn't get snacks all day either. Maybe school prepared lunches should end and parents can make a lunch themselves. Then it could be a bag of donuts or a bag of carrot sticks. It's up to the parents to form a child's eating habits and also their own habit of stopping to pick up that bucket of chicken or fast food on the way home from work instead of making a meal themselves.Take responsibility and quit expecting the government to make your family healthy. That is totally unrealistic. And leave potatoes alone. They are not the culprit of this obese phenomenon just as rice isn't, and both feed a few billion people who are not obese. And, believe it or not, there are families that do not have the means to give their child one meal a day so the least we can do is make sure they get that one meal. Have some compassion.
