Could a "paperclip" mean the end of the armrest wars? {Gadling}

Jun 6th 2009 7:51AM The recline button and headphone sockets are only missing because this is a concept design, it would be easy for an industrial designer to plumb that stuff in.

But I'm slightly worried by the posture of the passenger in the window seat in the illustration. My chiropractor would say that a long period in that lopsided position could lead to back problems, needs some awareness-building or maybe a design that encourages you to use the same height on each side, tricky in a 3-abreast where the middle person may be dictated to by those on either side.

Of course they could just make the seats wider :o)
