Apr 8th 2010 4:09PM I have to agree with Max about the Delta safety video...I've had my fill. I make sure to pull out the card way before the thing has a chance to play. Ugh!
While it certainly gets the point across (and i'm sure it's designed to get the passenger's attention...), it's a smidgeon on the inappropriate side, especially with the finger wagging. Gimme a break!

Nov 9th 2009 2:01PM I myself prefer Alaska Airlines and Delta (I've heard Southwest has superb service, but as they have no hub in my state, I haven't had the chance to fly them yet).
I'm finding though that it really depends on the situation. In mine, it's financial. I do have more frequent flier miles built up on my favorite airlines, but I have to be economical and consider the lowest fare first, regardless of all the stories floating around out there about what horrible customer service A or B airline did to A or B customer. If the airline gets me to my destination on the cheapest price...so be it.
This holiday season i'll definitely be missing Delta and Alaska though!

Oct 22nd 2009 10:15PM Loved your last bit about gate lice. Traveled to AK this past summer and my flight was actually delayed by nearly 2 hours because people kept crowding the boarding door and would not listen to the increasingly desperate sounding gate staff.
We are all going to the same place. Chill. Let the process work.
Galley Gossip: Cell phones on the airplane {Gadling}
May 28th 2009 2:35PM The only reason I carry my cell phone on the plane is because, well, I carry my cell phone every where. Also, I have seizures, and it just so happened that on my last flight, I got off the plane, into the airport, had a seizure and the paramedics found my cell phone lying next to me. Fortunately, my mother called at that precise moment and they were able to pick it up and talk to her and get instructions on what to do (since I was not in the same city as she was, but my home town, etc). I never have my cell phone on while boarding (OR on during the flight) or even while taxiing to (or from the) get to the gate. Ever. But it's nice to know that it's in my bag, waiting for me when I get off the plane and into the airport.
