Surefire ways to look older before your time {That's Fit}
Sep 13th 2007 10:57AM When I was younger, in my teens, I thought I was going to live forever and always be a "looker"! LOL! was I ever wrong! I'm in my mid-30's and I look my age! lol! Not that I look bad, mind you! But umteen parties and 3 kids later, I have found out that I really do need to take care of myself! When the 1st signs of aging started to show, I decided to find out what I need to do to make sure I live a long life. It's not even really about looks anymore, it's about health, and healthy living! After my youngest son was born, I looked into different ways to "stave off" disease and to create a much healthier home and life! I found it! So I quit smoking, drinking, and running all the time so I could get more sleep! ( IN your 30's, you learn that this stuff is important!) I also found a wonderful company that provides me with all of the best that nature and science has to offer! You should check it out! http://www.HappierYou.fourpointwellness.com
This is just the 1st steps to a healthier, happier life! You really don't need all the "parties"to be fullfilled and to have fun!
Slashfood Ate (8): Worst school lunch items {Slashfood}
Sep 12th 2007 4:28PM My favorite lunch was in high school. We had the choice of the "hot lunch" God only knows what was in Daisy Cassarole! or we had a really good salad bar with the sopftest, best rolls I had ever eaten! The worst lunch I ever had to endure was in the 3rd grade. It was called 1st grade vomit by the rest of the school, not to sure what was in it to this day. But we all tried it at least once. Sure enough, it was sickening. As a matter of fact, most of us ended up in the nurses office!
The before, during, and after of dealing with a hangover {That's Fit}
Sep 11th 2007 6:20PM If you really want to make sure you wake up without a hangover... Take a good multivitamin/mineral on a daily basis with a good absorbtion rate. If you still have a little headache the morning after, you need to find a natural pain reliever so that the additives in the over the counter stuff doesn't mess with an already queezey stomache.

Time to ban perfumes from high school? {BloggingStocks}
Sep 5th 2007 6:49AM I think this going to far. What we need to do is teach these kids to wear it correctly. If they have a strong scent, spray twice in the air and walk through it. If it is a lighter scent, spray it on with one pump. I have in-laws that are allergic to certain scents. Problem is, they aren't sure about the new ones. So, those of us who are not allergic are considerate and try not to wear them too heavy. There are very harmful ingredients in most everything we use in our homes and lives everyday. Furniture polish can cause such harmful effects in people when sprayed that it can cause headaches, misdiagnoses of other illnesses, etc. For More Info. Sep 4th 2007 11:51AM Ok. I think that the Evangelicals are right to a point. Only I think that every class a woman needs to take towards homemaker, should be accompanied by a class for the men on budgeting on one income. I am a SAHM, I also have my own business online. It's enough to supplement his income and have a little left over, if he doesn't know I have it tucked away. He makes more than enough money to support our family, but by the time he takes care of his "me, me's" there's nothing left. We have 3 children and he will honestly give me 50.00 some weeks to buy groceries, because there's something "more impertant" that he wants! One thing that needs to be offered to men in college is " how to respect your stay at home wife"! On a typical day I feed the children, clean the house, take care of boo boo's, help with homework, watch ( more like listen) to Veggie Tales a dozen times a day while I'm doing more housework, stick a stitch in a few pieces of clothing, make sure supper is on the table when he gets home, clean up the kids and the supper mess, then it's another load of laundry, put the kids to bed, straighten up the living room, then I MIGHT be able to get a bath, read for about 30 minutes before I fall asleep! If they offer a class on how to make these tasks more efficient, I'm all for it! And let me tell you this, It's all unappreciated work! But the joy I get by being home with the kids makes the snide remarks from the hubby worth it! My favorite is this one. " What did you do all day? this place is a wreck!" Of course that's before he sits on his butt and watches TV. LOL! I am a Baptist woman in a home with a man that's not even a christian! LOL! But that's ok. things aren't that bad. I learned all of my skills from my grandmother. Now that was a woman who could "work a mean household"! If I'm half the woman and mother that she was, I'm not doing to bad! I say hats off the college for teaching these much needed skills! Just offer a few to the men as well!
British Celebrity Nanny Scolds American Parents {News Bloggers}
Sep 3rd 2007 1:01PM Here's my take on things. We are all doing the best we can and what we think is right for our children. Yes, we make mistakes. Yes, we are going to screw up. It's all part of the learning process. We are born with certain natural instincts, but the rest has to be learned. I'm a 35 yr. old white "momma" of 3 very well behaved children. They are 11 yrs, 3 1/2 yrs, and 2 yrs old. Yes, I may resort to "popping" a leg when they misbehave, but! If anyone outside of our family were to ever see this I probably would get "turned in" for abuse! You see, we live in a nosy society. Yes, I'm absolutely against child abuse! But is one of my children needs a good reminder, I will "pop" their leg. Sometimes it's not the "pain" but the noise it makes. We have lost control of our own natural abilities of a good momma. State Gov't has taken it away. When did our country start "dumbing down"? When they took prayer out of school and spnaking away from it! Why should our children respect authority figures? There's no authority left! Well in my house, my children are very repectful! They cringe at "the look". It's all about how we teach them. Parents are afraid to teach thier own children now because of the "crud" being thrown at them! Plain and simple.

I Have Never Smoked Pot {News Bloggers}
Aug 24th 2007 10:42PM by the way I really wish I could be a NBBCer. But it's like inneedmoreinfo said, I'll never be able to say that. And to tell you the truth, that sucks. Oh and it's been 6 months to a year since I smoked. It's about a once a year thing with me. I do have my kids 24/7. Except when me and the hubby NEED our time. :)
I Have Never Smoked Pot {News Bloggers}
Aug 24th 2007 10:37PM Ok. I have been stoned on more than one occassion. I still get stoned every once in a great while. I kinda like the feeling. It's mainly when my hubby and I want to get extra freaky ;). Here's the run down of the effects. 1. you feel drunk, not sloshy, just tipsy. 2. you either get hungery or horny. 3. you get even more more hungry or horny. I mean the kind that if you don't find something to munch on or hump you're going to burst! 4. you start to come down from the high. 5. you go to bed and you might not wake up when the alarm goes off because you sleep harder and more sound. by the way this isn't always a good thing. Oh! and you 'll think your mouth just knitted a nice heavy wool sweater for your tongue! I would recomend that you have plenty of soda or tea to drink and you need ice for these beverages! A willing partner for the bed and plenty of your favorite snack, it needs to be extra crunchy! Now this is sound advice from a woman who knows! and being that you are a man, you will deffinately want that willing partner! Now personally, I think you should stay away from it. You have never done it, you should never do it. 1 joint, will stay in your system for 3 to 10 days. more than that will be there for a month! If your work drug tests, you could lose your job over this. I personally work at home and so I know that I will not be tested any time soon. And for goodness sakes if you have kids, don't do it! I have kids and I WILL NOT SMOKE IT ANYWHERE NEAR THEM! They are always with someone else. Out of my home!
