Nov 9th 2009 10:54AM Scott has no clue what he is talking about. First, this bill isn't "public healthcare," it's only a public option for payment of healthcare costs. Nowhere does it speak of nationalizing hospitals, clinics, making doctors government employees, etc. That's just not in it.
Secondly, Public healthcare works very well in Finland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, France, Canada, and numerous other countries. The system we have right now is far behind the healthcare in any of those countries.
Maybe Scott needs to travel more. His myopic opinion is based on myths, not facts.

For commercial uses, where replacement costs include labor, and where power costs are generally higher, this is an investment that will quickly pay for itself. LEDs use less than half the power of CFL's, can be dimmed, emit even less heat, contain no mercury, and last for decades.
Still, the Cree LR6 remains the best, most cost-effective replacement I've seen yet. I just don't use enough 40 watt bulbs to seriously consider this one. Now, if they make it in a 100 watt equivalent, we can talk.

I am not interested in prosecuting Bush. It would get in the way of my trying to repair the damage he's done. I don't think Bush's got the trillions of dollars it would take to pay restitution to the US, Iraq, etc.
