Are the economics of Twitter airfares worth it? {Gadling}
Nov 4th 2009 3:20PM Great post Grant, I agree with you with a few added thoughts:
Twitter lists. You can follow one list such as @bestraveldeals/travel-deals which has put in the elbow grease to find 139 twitter accts that are legit and primarily tweet travel deals. It's easy to follow a list like that, click on it when you have your credit card in front of you and only see tweets pertaining to travel deals.
Perfect fare. It's a little difficult for a website to discern an individuals perfect fare unless they are willing to spend the time and create a profile with enough detail that would trigger a perfect fare alert. What is the floor and for what destinations?
Interesting to think about though.
Starting tomorrow, your cash is no longer welcome on American Airlines {Gadling}
Jun 1st 2009 7:41AM Maybe they needed an incentive to get more people to sign up for credit cards. The recession/depression is causing a lot of people to stop using their plastic.
I agree with the concern over younger tourists, my son is 19, in college and doesn't have a credit card yet. He travels quite a bit, generally with me but sometimes alone.
New travel site Voyij.com offers comprehensive deals and user-friendly innovation {Gadling}
May 18th 2009 2:06PM Would love to hear feedback on http://www.besttraveldeals.net - it's still pre launch so the deals are slender, but all of them are for real.
Anyone can submit, review and vote on deals so we're allowing the travel community as a whole to determine what's a great deal.
Would love to hear your thoughts - with more deals on the site - would you use this site when researching travel deals?
