Jul 22nd 2011 1:53PM Oh great, like we don't have enough in SC with 'wanna be' attitudes who complain CONSTANTLY they can't locate food 'like we get up North" .Those with bad mannered,loud, and obnoxious eating habits ; the drunken husbands who come to golf yet disrespect our high school & college daughters who work and try to laugh it off with a tip while those with families are subject to hearing nad seeing that behavior.
Gee...try Mississippi-they need the tourist dollars since the mountains of NC ,Georgia,and Florida are already over-run. Oh and please stop calling yourselves 'locals' because we know you're not!

Jul 16th 2008 7:54AM As a school health nurse, it is frustrating when parents do not have an answering machine. Many times they never check the cell phone messages and then call the school wanting to know who called ( becausee the caller ID showed the number)which causes wasted time from the school secretary down trying to find out who called for the parent.
The cell phones are usually off because the parent :
a) is not employed which coincides with B
b) is SLEEPING
c) not paid their bill.
In my experience, parents who actually have a home anwering machine call me back within a few minutes, have proof I called,and the student knows what and why I am calling about which can ease anxiety, at times I have the student leave a message after mine.
Parents- please keep your land lines on and please provide WORKING phone numbers of family/friends who can help your sick or god forbid injured child when we can't find you!

In high school sports it is not allowed because of SAFETY!! The same with high school cheerleaders - the fines are high if hair is not pulled up.
Oh, and please stop with the racist comments...not everything is about the color of skin...Geez, grow up!!!

The majority rules.Barack Hussein Obama needs to stand on his beliefs and not try to hide behind empty words-who wants someone to preside over our country who follows a 'RACIST' 'religious' figure. Compare to JFK and Jackie??NOT!!! BAck down now while you can save face- I'm sure more will come out.

The 7 most sugar-filled drinks {Slashfood}
May 25th 2007 10:49PM As a school nurse- I set out a Nutrition table of samples during lunch ( high school students). 1 snack size zip-lock bag holds 15 teaspoons of sugar which is the basic equivalent of sugar in most soft drink cans supplied in the soda machines at school- I can honestly say the students were astounded to see and hold the baggy-that much was going in thier bodies!! Luckliy- opur school district is doing away with the machines, offering more fresh fruit, salads, and whole grain rolls. Educate your children!

but hey- I love make-up as well!
My era was the 80's when we were blessed with fun make-up tricks (contouring and 'the eyes have it'). Think Cindy Crawford, Christy Brinkley,Broke Shields,and Marie Osmond to name a few.We want to look as great now as we did back then! The last time I watched a makeover at the MAC counter at Dillards-my daughter and I had to stiffle quiet giggles at the end result! O.M.G!
The poor soul was just as shocked- I think the MAC make-up 'artist' was not trained to define the average young lady. I will say when we visited 'SEPHORA' in NYC- we had a lovely time with properly trained consultants of various products and the prices were tolerable.
