Galley Gossip: Nut allergies on the airplane {Gadling}
May 12th 2009 1:07PM Yikes! I have starved (not to death) on a 12 hour flight from LA to Beijing when the airline forgot my vegetarian meal (that I did pre order). I would have been really irritable if I couldn't eat the snacks I brought!
Next time I will plan to bring nut free snacks. My son's school lunches have to be nut free, and that includes all Nature's Valley granola bars because they are processed in a facility with nuts, even the flavors that don't contain nuts. It is kind of tricky to navigate for those of us who aren't used to looking out for such things!
