Wear Wristwatch? Use Email? Not for Class of '14 {ParentDish}
Aug 18th 2010 6:16PM @makeredhappy
I happen to not agree with you on your statement. Not all children and teenagers are like that, and I'm sure that when you were young, the adult population thought that same about you. I happen to be twenty-two years old, a freshman in college and it was not because I was lazy. I had to wait till I could afford to go to school. I'm allowed to move home AFTER I graduate so that I may PAY off some of my student loans. Do you want to know why so many kids don't have a work ethic? It is due in part to many places of employment not hiring anyone under the age of eighteen. Yes, some parents are to blame, but not all of them caused the problem.
I happen to write in cursive, it's faster than printing. We had phone with a cord till I was about sixteen. Most colleges have phones in the students rooms with cords. I prefer snail mail to email. Beavis and Butt Head are disgusting. I'm not very fond of South Park either. I happen to like quilting, it builds patience and the attention span. I prefer to watch the History Channel.
You can not just lump everyone into one huge group and say that they are all the same when in truth they are not the same.

Breaking the Binkie Habit {ParentDish}
Jun 18th 2010 12:03AM My mom told me that a great way for breaking them of using a "binky" is to have them say Pacifier. If they can't say it, you can't give it to them... children get tired of it pretty quick.
'Dancing With the Stars' Needs to Stop Casting Ringers {AOL TV}
May 26th 2010 10:09PM Here's an idea... how about we get real people who are not celebrities, with no background in dance or ice skating and have them dance with the stars (the now famous dance instructors) this would include people of ALL sizes...
This isn't the first year they did this... what about that figure skater... that is the same thing as ballroom... the only difference is... ICE she's on ice and can do her stuff with out a partner... she should have not been picked what so ever...
Let Priests Marry? Austrian Cardinal Schönborn Roils the Vatican {Politics Daily}
May 20th 2010 4:07PM Priest were allowed to marry during the 1st century and after only when the catholic church wanted to change this tradition while the orthodox church wanted to keep around 1054 AD this was one of the issues that caused the schism between the orthodox and catholic church.
they should be allowed... Considering that these are the people who preach that we are here to procreate... and yet they are not allowed to practice what they preach.
Ralph's is ripping off shoppers, claims L.A. City Attorney {WalletPop}
May 14th 2010 3:32PM A Kroger owned store near us had a considerable mark up in prices... Mom and I went shopping there the other day and noticed that the prices where a bit higher than usual. We vowed not to shop there again.
'V' Renewed; 'FlashForward,' 'Scrubs,' 'Better Off Ted,' 'Romantically Challenged' Axed {AOL TV}
May 14th 2010 3:26PM They cancel good shows and keep crappy ones like Private Practice, Desperate WH***S... ooops I mean Housewives...
The reason why Ugly Betty's ratings dropped was due to those idiots changing the date and time TWICE! They sent it off to the deadzone of friday night television, then they moved it to Weds. AND DIDNT TELL ANYONE!
I didn't watch any of the shows mentioned here, but they deserve another shot...
Pushing Daisies was a great show...
What pissed me off was that after the writers strike, a lot of new shows on cbs, nbc, and abc were axed, but they were so good! And they still keep crappy shows...
College grads take extreme measures to repay student loans {WalletPop}
May 5th 2010 1:44AM I'm just starting out in college and after all the stuff I received from my school and government, I'm still going to need 8,000 dollars to pay off what I owe, not including books or a computer. I have made the decision to work hard and get a 3.0 or high to get the scholarships the school offers, not to mention the others that I find here and there... but most of which won't be good till my sophomore. After I graduate I plan on living at home for as long as I can, and pay as much as possible on my student loans each month. If you pay 2 months worth at a time, you are cutting down the interest and the amount of time it takes to pay off. This is what is great about living at home after graduation. The only thing you need to do is be sure to have a job after you graduate... and in this day and age it's difficult for EVERYONE to get a job, not just college grads.
