Belichick Should Have Stayed on the Field {Fanhouse NFL Blog}

Feb 4th 2008 3:24AM What a classLESS act. The Patriot's coach, as well as his players surely did SKITDADDLE. LOL

A great big case of SOUR GRAPES. The Patriots were downright cocky and thought they had it in the bag. NOT.

The Giants put on one he** of a football game. What atheletes and gentlemen, especially Eli & Plaxico!

Sarah Jessica Parker: UN-sexy and the City? {Stylelist}

Oct 30th 2007 12:44PM Blue Ragoon, you're hilarious, AND accurate in my book. I never could imagine why or WHAT Prince Charles ever saw in Camilla. Granted, both are boring and ugly, and deserved one another.
SJP - Like her, but thought her character was whiny and fake in Sex & The City, and never did think she was sexy, not the least bit. The rest of the list is right on the money.

Jenna Bush is Engaged! {News Bloggers}

Aug 19th 2007 4:27PM Karen, I have to ask, if your enlisted spouse were lay an opportunity before him this minute:
1. Stay in Iraq and assist the citizens and people OF Iraq
OR
2. Remain enlisted, but serve any amount of your time that you desire on the Mississippi Gulf Coast helping those folks rebuild their lives (you see, Mississippi had NO levees and NO 17' of water--they had open Gulf front and 35+' of nice, nasty water, or PROCEED TO WHEREVER DEAN MAKES LANDFALL AND HELP THOSE VICTIMS THERE?
Do you believe for one minute that spouse would elect to stay in Iraq as opposed to helping American citizens or others more gracious, accepting, and NEEDING the help?
I believe your spouse and many others enlisted after 9/11 with the right intentions. I also believe they were misled and dragged onto another continent that if given a choice NOW, they'd pull out of ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aug 19th 2007 4:16PM Rhodalee, EXCELLENT comment! You are so right! The war in Iraq that no one wants, our economy in shambles, gas @ $3 a gallon, housing fuel overpriced, those STILL homeless f/ a natural disaster named Katrina, and who's to say another one isn't approaching? Where will those people live. Is it going to be THEIR fault ANOTHER natural disaster (Dean) tore their lives apart? But HEY! We want to make sure those little Bush Princesses (no pun intended!) are living THEIR American dream!!!
I have an excellent idea. Let's invite all the undocumented aliens currently IN Texas to the wedding! It's free!!!

Travel Deals for the 50 and Over Crowd are Dwindling {Gadling}

Jun 23rd 2007 8:58AM Bob, you sound like a stellar individual. I sincerely hope you'll consider mentoring or volunteering with young folks or disadvantaged youth. You've got a lifetime of experiences to offer. Basic courtesy and mannerisms aren't even considered important anymore. It saddens me to see a whole new beautiful generation with no values, principles, etc.
I volunteer at nursing homes, assisted care facilities, and with veterans, and I have to tell you, they are the last of a fabulous breed. They all have such wonderful memories to share and fabulous stories to tell, so very much to offer the world for just an ear.
I feel sorry for up and coming generations, their lack of interest and their "rating" of what is "cool" has literally cheated them of much.

Travel Deals for the 50 and Over Crowd are Dwindling {Gadling}

Jun 23rd 2007 8:46AM IN RESPONSE TO THE FOLLOWING POST:
"Why should there be discounts for people over 50, when we have been the most economically blessed generation in history? We hold the greatest share of the wealth. I see young people like my 32 yo son needing to travel to Eastern Europe this fall to learn more about the movie business he works in as making the most good of his travel."
THE MOST ECONOMICALLY "BLESSED?" According to whom? KEY WORD="YOUNG." AS IN, not on a retirement or otherwise fixed income? It's not about anyone expecting, feeling entitlement or, for the lack of a better word, feeling they "deserve" discounts at ANY age, rather a whole other mirage of reasons, all of which there is simply no room on this blog to list. The 50+ generation have worked all of our lives, if health allows, yeah, I'd like an incentive that would afford me the luxury of traveling at a time in my life that I can finally do so, and discounts help. Frankly, I see the current younger generation as a whole lot more "economically blessed" than any of my time. Opportunities abound on the ability to attend college alone, and choose a field of study, much more so than it ever did for 50+ individuals in THEIR 19, 20's or 30+. How about hooking up with the Peace Corps, mmilitary, missionary, or other organizations for learning, lasting, travel experiences at discount travel?

States Want to Ban Texting While Driving {Switched}

Jun 13th 2007 2:45PM How absolutely STUPID. Texting? How could you prove that in every case? Cell phone use while driving, in any shape or form, should be banned, MUCH LESS texting.
We all can relay horror stories of accidents or near-misses, all due directly to one of the drivers on their cell phone. More than half people using them are doing so based on the fact they're pretentious. I am NOT impressed by the body count. Cell phone use while driving should be banned, except, of course, for law enforcement officials, firefighters, etc. Any congressional submitted bill should be very specific in spelling out who is allowed to use a cell phone while driving.
I had a clear driving record for 40 years. The last two, however, I've been involved in two accidents, BOTH I was hit from behind, and BOTH drivers of those vehicles were on their cell phone. Those records were promptly subpoenaed in the lawsuits that followed. The fact their negligence was proven paid my medical bills, but will never ease the suffering for the injuries they caused that will be with me the rest of my life.
Even better, impose strict penalties (as in C-A-N-C-E-L) by insurance companies who's insured drivers are involved in accidents where it can be proven they were on cell phones.

Waxing Poetic on Paris' Prison Sentence {The Cooler}
