Airline Fees: You Get What You Pay For Or Weapons In Travel Class Warfare? {Gadling}
Jul 2nd 2012 12:41PM Meg, how are you able to write articles for public consumption with so many grammar mistakes? There are at least four in this article. Gadling, get writers who can write!
Parents Don't Think Their Overweight Kids Are Fat {That's Fit}
Feb 2nd 2010 10:59AM As an elementary teacher, this is really not surprising. My teacher friends and I see parents all the time who are clueless to their children's problems. Maybe they're too close to the situation or in denial that their children could be anything less than perfect, but we have had children in our classes with such severe speech articulation problems that they were almost unintelligible and the parents can't understand why we're referring them to speech services. At open house night, their child's art or writing stands out like a sore thumb alongside other students' work because they are a year or two below grade level and the parents don't see any difference in a side by side comparison with other children's work. If you want insight into the way our society is headed, ask a teacher; it's scary.
Nancy Pelosi, Catholic Without a Clue {Politics Daily}
Jan 3rd 2010 1:03AM I would suggest you do your research before commenting . . . the majority of Catholics views do NOT coincide with Pelosi's. "Cafeteria style faiths . . . one of our strengths, one of the reasons our country exists in the first place." Are you for real?
Nancy Pelosi, Catholic Without a Clue {Politics Daily}
Jan 3rd 2010 12:56AM Finally, some one has the guts to denounce this pretentious, arrogant, deceptive "politician" (in the worst sense of the word). I'm going to share this with all my friends, family and neighbors here in southern California, because I'm sure they're going to agree with every word. Elizabeth, we love you . . . where can we go to find more of your writing?!
Polish Catholics Praying to Stop 'Satanic' Madonna Concert {Spinner}
Aug 9th 2009 5:56PM Sure, some priests molested people, no one disputes that, but I thought the article was about Madonna. I do agree though, she is a skank.
Polish Catholics Praying to Stop 'Satanic' Madonna Concert {Spinner}
Aug 9th 2009 5:53PM Before you go shooting off your mouth regarding something you either don't know about or haven't educated yourself about, I suggest you do just that, find out what the definition of a "cult" is. Catholicism and Christianity are neither according to the dictionary and common definition.
A Viagra-Free Zone for Kids {ParentDish}
Aug 6th 2009 9:49PM Rachel, I'm so glad some one finally brought this up, thank you! I don't know how many times my wife and I also squirmed and held our breath during the same commercials, especially the kicker at the end about having a condition lasting more than four hours. If just my son and I were watching, it would be one thing, but little girls should not be exposed to stuff like this. And it doesn't get any more comfortable when they're teens. And the above poll option . . . "if you're going to let the kids watch adult television, you need to be ready to explain the ads". That's so stupid, I won't even dignify it with a response.
Career Changers Choose Teaching {Careers Articles - Online Degrees}
Jul 31st 2009 9:12PM I would like to see AOL rescind or correct all the incorrect advice in this article. I've been teaching 29 years and in the last 10 years, the profession has taken a 180 degree turn and bears no resemblance whatsoever to when I first started. We are dealing with a devastating budget crisis, parents who live to make our lives miserable, an extra program every year to squeeze into our day, administrators who demand higher and higher test scores every year, insurmountable paperwork, new record keeping/grading software that rarely works, salaries that put a family of four below the poverty line, etc. The time off is a plus, but I don't know any elementary teacher to works less than 50 hours a week. In spite of all this, I would probably make the same career choice, but with much more open eyes.
