Buy the Vacant Foreclosure Next Door? Even With the Money, It's Not Always So Easy {AOL Real Estate}
Oct 14th 2012 5:11PM In as much as individual homeowners don't want to see or care to directly look at a foreclosed property in poor unsightly condition.
Please keep in mind your good intentions of mowing the lawn, cleaning up the yard of the foreclosed property could very well get you into some legal problems. Unless you have written permission from the foreclosed/vacant property owner (the bank) although your attempting to do a kind deed mowing the lawn or cleaning up the yard for all concerned. Legally by law you are trespassing on privately owned property. So all your good intentions time and effort could very well back fire on you legally.
Buy the Vacant Foreclosure Next Door? Even With the Money, It's Not Always So Easy {AOL Real Estate}
Oct 14th 2012 4:46PM Many home owners who have vacant foreclosed properties in their neighborhood or right next door to their own home, are unaware that there are way's to handle issues pertaining to a foreclosed property that's falling into disrepair, is perhaps a health hazard or that could perhaps cause personal injury to an individual.
First report your concerns and the property address to your local code enforcement agency and request a code enforcement officer visually inspect the property in question. You may or may not be required to fill out a formal complaint, depending on the code enforcement officers findings.
If necessary, you also have the right to report and file a formal complaint of the unsafe/unsightly foreclosed property to your local village/Community board's attorney's office.
Both code enforcement and or your local Village attorney have the legal ability to impose fines as well as require the foreclosed property owner (Bank) clean up and keep the said foreclosed property in question in reasonable safe condition. As not to pose harm or be considered an unsafe structure to individuals or surrounding property/home owners.

BP to Decide on Latest Attempt to Stop the Leak {BloggingStocks}
May 28th 2010 10:29AM What BP nees to do is, use a canvas and rubber inflatable lining. Shove it in the dame hole and inflate it. Then back fill the damn pipe with a combination of cement & a non corrosive liquid plastic resin fiber fill.
Shoving MUD and cement in the hole will not last long term.
Reform of 'No Child Left Behind' Calls for More Flexibility, Higher Standards {Politics Daily}
Mar 17th 2010 9:18AM Another way to cut back on some of the current school budget issues would be to stop paying the teachers full salaries for the 3 months their off. How many employers pay an employee 90 days of full pay for vacation time?
Perhaps its time to pay teachers on an hourly basis, for hours actually worked. As opposed to paying them a guaranteed yearly salary. This might save a few million dollars for the school systems budget. A few million dollars that could be used elsewhere, perhaps directly towards students educational needs.
Borrowers: Take Back Your Power! {Housingwatch}
Mar 16th 2010 10:19PM For those of you who do have choices where you bank, and who holds your mortgage. If your unhappy with your current bank/mortgage holder, or credit card issuer. Find another lender to handle your financial needs.
Mortgage problems? Talk to a mortgage broker, or perhaps a local credit union, or local bank. Same applies for your checking/savings accounts, high APR credit card accounts (transfer the debt to a new, or another card that offers a lower APR). You really do have options available.
Guess What? Your Home Is Undervalued! {Housingwatch}
Mar 16th 2010 9:35AM Well, I've owned 6 homes. And not only did I purchased all six, but sold 5 of them without the need, or use of a Realtor. I find it much easier if the entire purchase, and or sale process is conducted between buyer, seller. And their personal attorney's.
Toyota's Female Problem: Women Buyers Considering Other Brands {AOL Autos - Marketing}
Mar 9th 2010 8:16PM It doesn't who's name is on the vehicle. If the vehicle is made with poor quality parts. The vehicle will most likely have problems.
I don't care if its a Cadillac, Toyota or a Rolls Royce. Its all about the quality of parts used in building the entire vehicle, that counts.
So somewhere along the line a bad, or very poorly designed part is causing this problem for Toyota vehicles. Someone just needs to figure out whats causing this problem.
Lenders starting to run after 'walkaway' homeowners {WalletPop}
Mar 9th 2010 12:29PM When the banks refuse to work with a homeowner who has fallen on difficult financial hard times. Then I don't blame a homeowner for walking away. Not to mention the bank will most likely end up with the remaining mortgage balance paid in full, once the home is sold. The banks want their cake and eat it to. Its not going to work out well for the banks at all. You see, the banks would rather through an entire family out of their home, and into the street. As opposed to trying to figure out a way to help the homeowner. Yet the banks had to rely on BILLIONS of tax payer dollars, when the banks had/have financial issues.
Developers Embrace New 'Flip Tax' {Housingwatch}
Mar 8th 2010 4:18PM Terry, Your Real Estate Agent should have availed you of this existing clause in your purchase contract. And if you had an attorney (your own personal attorney, present at the closing table) he or she could have most likely had the clause stricken/removed from your contract.
NEVER go to a closing table WITHOUT your own PERSONAL ATTORNEY being present. I don't care if its a home purchase, HELOC, or refinance. If it has anything to do with your/a HOME. You need to have personal legal representation of YOUR OWN attorney, that protects both you, and your property.
