Poll: Is your GPS male or female? {Gadling}

Nov 2nd 2009 11:45PM Hey.. I thought you would have a two-parter poll here... q1 - are you male/female q2 - do you prefer a male/female voice on your GPS. would've been interesting to see how much of a correlation there is, 'coz in my experience most gals prefer a male voice, and most guys prefer a gal's voice on their GPS..

Jul 22nd 2009 4:57PM This road trip starts in Spokane, WA, goes to Glacier National Park, through the Going To The Sun road, and back to Spokane, WA the next day.

Why Spokane, WA? Because, between Washington and Montana, on highway 90, lies the perfect stretch of mountainous driving in the great state of Idaho. 80 miles an hour (or more) smooth sailing driving through mountains, up, down, inclines from 2% to 6% and beautiful scenery every now and then makes for the best high speed drive ever.

Then you get to Glacier National Park, and there's Going To The Sun road - that road trip pilgrimage that most people ought to make at least once. Crisp, beautiful mountains, mouth-watering turns, heart-stopping views. I haven't, and I missed out on it only because it wasn't summer yet. I hope I get to go this time.

Back to Spokane, another go at the beautiful roads in Idaho, and that's my perfect-est road trip!!

Gadling Giveaway: Road Trip USA {Gadling}

Apr 20th 2009 7:31PM I was returning to California after finishing graduate school up in Illinois - so I decided to do a road trip from Chicago to Los Angeles, via Seattle. Logical, I know. =). But the biggest highlight was driving through South Dakota, seeing signs for a 'scenic detour', and quite literally stumbling on the Badlands National Park. The majesty of the place can't be exaggerated, and it is such a shocking change after the rolling plains of South Dakota, Iowa, Illinois and onwards to the east. It is absolutely a must-see!

I missed out on seeing the 'Going To The Sun Road' (Montana) and Mt. St. Helens (Oregon) as these are at higher elevations and I was traveling around the end of May. These are next on my must-see list.
