Mar 28th 2011 4:10PM Many years ago my wife and I received a gift of H&D baklava, which we love. My wife was munching on a serving when I heard a loud "crack". She had broken a tooth on a piece of walnut shell that had gotten into the pastry. I wrote to H&D asking for the name of their insurance company and was ignored until I finally brought a law suit against them in the local court. They responded and we ended up settling for the price of the dental work and one future replacement. Around $3500 all together. I am sorry to see they are having difficulties.

Feb 26th 2011 1:43PM Had an experience with Jorge and his family. My adult (27) year old son and I were waiting to board a plane to Puerto Rico and noticed Jorge and his family entering the waiting room...this was in January, 2010. Despite the scowl on Jorge's face (he ignored his wife and kids) my son ventured over and congratulated him on the World Series Championship. Jorge gave a terse "thank you" and said not another word. We were waiting for more than an hour. Never saw him move or speak. When we boarded, we filed past him in first class and he was like a piece of ice. During the flight his beautiful wife and kids interacted with each other but I never saw Jorge get involved...my impression was that he was anything but a warm, friendly superstar. Maybe I "caught" him on a bad day.

Dec 13th 2010 3:14PM I think Angelina and Brad ought to make a sequel to Mr. & Mrs. Smith...and the villain should be Jennifer Aniston. Her sidekick could be Chelsea Handler. Wouldn't that be fun? David Schwimmer could make a cameo appearance with one line "WE WERE ON A BREAK" before Jennifer dispatches him. She could capture and torture Brad and or Angelina for a while (and perhaps have an interlude with Brad or... Angelina in a sick and wonderful twist). There could be alternate endings, of course.

Dec 8th 2010 10:37AM Obviously you did not read the article. The idea was to sacrifice a plane AND ITS PILOT in order to create a rationale for invading Iraq. My comment was that government agendas often consider human sacrifices in order to sway public opinion. Careful planning by government paid THINKERS diverts attention away from the obvious beneficiary of the act (the government's agenda) and onto the target.

Dec 7th 2010 4:06PM I think that such acts have been and will continue to be considered and acted upon-see Pearl Harbor and 9/11) when the losses that are calculated to occur are within "acceptable" limits. There are think tanks that spend our tax dollars working out the details of these acts in order to promote the agendas of those in power. WRT Pearl Harbor, the claim is that by sacrificing older warships and some of their crews, the US would be able to enter the war immediately rather than later (due to the powerful peace movement here). The thinkers advised that in the long run, we'd lose less men and material taking the hit and getting in earlier. WRT 9/11, Bush wanted an excuse to move against Hussain. The one pilot dead story sounds like an attempt at misdirection by suggesting that even a single soldier's "planned" death is unthinkable. Thousands died so Bush could stand in the rubble and demand justice. It happens all the time.

Between the three of them I'd gave to give it to Brad Pitt, he's prettier than both of em...So he left Jen to be with Jolie? Tough life...I don't think she had to do much to get him...what do you think she did to get him to leave Jen? Any ideas?

Nov 8th 2010 3:15PM It makes no difference what the pre-text is for the undercover boss to be there, the worker is aware he is being filmed and of course will be on his "best" behavior. This guy Ricketts appears to be a fool who had the great luck to be in a very wealthy family. Even though they owned the business for "only" a year this is the first time little baby brother Todd had any contact with the people who work at the field? Shame. Then at their meeting, the rich snobs all agree (on camera) to everything the poor schlub said. Right! The show is a heart rendering piece of BS.
