American Dream of ... Renting? Survey Finds Shifting Attitudes Toward Homeownership {AOL Real Estate}
Apr 8th 2013 3:00PM I am in AZ. I have owned 4 homes in my life in different states. I only made money on one of them, just due to markets and economy through the years. I hope to sell the house I am currently upside down on in about 5 years, at which time I will be renting for the rest of my years. I am tired of putting money down on a house, spending year after year repairing and replacing, only for the value to roller coaster. If I was renting the last 10 years I would have money in the bank from not fixing stuff.
Loan Officer Mark Kupris Lifts the Lid on Deceptive Lending in 'The Liar and His Loans' {AOL Real Estate}
Oct 28th 2012 11:11AM The home loan perfect storm was with complete support of the state and federal government. The government wanted people into homes that could never qualify, and put ridiculous incentives in place to promote the approval of these loans.
Home values rise and fall. Some areas are a real roller coaster, and always have been. I have owned 4 homes in the last 30 years. I only made money on one, just from market changes. Maybe this guy did some less than ethical business. He is a tiny drop in an ocean of people involved in the mortgage issue.

It's been lived in since it was built, and the current owner didn't say anything about it being haunted.
It's a tough market. This is a great ad for the realtor.
Cantor Fitzgerald CEO Howard Lutnick Angers Hamptons Neighbors With Hedge Blocking Views {AOL Real Estate}
Oct 14th 2012 8:47PM If I were him, I would give back the tax dollars, end the tax funding, then keep my hedges wherever I want. I don't get why they have a "right" to a view of his land. Weird.
Plan to Build Home on Top of Historic Heard Cemetery in Sandy Springs, Ga., Enrages Neighbors {AOL Real Estate}
Oct 7th 2012 11:44AM Why do people always let "historic" land and houses sit with no efforts to get anything on record, then when someone buys it and wants to change it, then they want it designated historic and not touched.

Rental Prices Climb, Buying Remains More Affordable {AOL Real Estate}
Jan 19th 2012 5:56PM It depends on what you buy compared to what you rent. When I can get out of the house I'm in, I am downsizing to a small apartment or condo rental. I have zero desire to own another house. Tired of repairs, taxes, and maintenance. Tired of watching values roller coaster.
