Jul 29th 2009 6:42AM Well it is said that The amount of fuel consumed by jet engines also depends upon the respective air supply volume. The more air that is drawn off for the air- conditioning system, the higher the fuel consumption. So yes you do save fuel by running less a/c. And you probably smelt kerosene because Jet fuel A and Jet fuel A-1 are both kerosene based fuels.

Apr 9th 2009 1:26PM All airlines have cabin bathroom restrictions for flight entering into the United States. Chris that statement is for you. So if this was a flight within the US then it shouldn't have been a problem. But FAA rules states that ALL flights (including AA) entering into the US from a foreign destination, passengers have to remain in the cabin of service and use lavatories in their respective cabin and avoid loitering in the galley or lavatory areas. This was not a Delta rule but a US govt rule. Now that being said it was still possible for this case to be minimized by just allowing the person apparently in dire need of the lavatory to quickly use the lav and then head back to his cabin. As long as safety of the aircraft was not an issue then it was a quick remedy to much un needed drama. Logic people sometimes takes over rules. In this case it didn't.

Feb 4th 2009 9:39AM Has anyone ever performed in such a large stadium before? Quit ridiculing till you do. The reverb in the stadium from all the speakers and the sound bouncing off the stand makes it near impossible to actually know where the beat is. I would imagine that she is not the first and wont be the last one to lip synch. The key is she did this at the request of the producer, who keep in mind is in charge. Get a life and start worrying about what really matters in life. The world, the financial crisis, job loss at a record high, two wars, homelessness going to record levels. Does this really matter? I think NOT!!

Dec 17th 2008 2:09PM I agree nothing caty here. Just plain ole dialogue. Martha seems to have my work ethic. If you want it done right do it yourself. I actually had her on my flight to Paris one time (I am an international flight attendant) and she and her daughter both were very polite, genuinely nice and we had quite a fruiitful discussion about many things. What a lovely person. Nothing like what the media has made her out to be. Don't always believe the painting that the media paints of a person is true.

Aug 7th 2006 10:38AM Who Cares? Honestly! Everyone should mind their own business and get their own lives in order before condemning someone else's life and how they should or should not be doing it. If everyone in America spent half as much time doing this then we would live in a better world.
