Guest Credit Card Data Stolen from Hotel Firm {AOL Travel News}
Jun 28th 2010 8:03PM I visited the Driskill in late April and was notified by my CC company that someone tried to use my credit card today for about $1400. Don't know if this is when my card # went south, but Chase said the fraud attempt was on a scanned card, which would mean they're making cards with their own mag strips.
Beware....
Tallest Teenager in the World Is 6-Foot-11 at 16 Years Old {Lemondrop}
Dec 28th 2009 6:18PM so Mickey, where in the article did you see where she or her family "bad-mouthed" the US. It appears to me that she and her family are appreciative of the opportunity. Get your head on straight, after all I'm sure your family's roots originated somewhere else and as a result, you're always welcome to go back too.
Couple arrested after refusing to pay tip at Pennsylvania pub {Daily Finance}
Nov 21st 2009 9:31PM In the past when I've been presented with a "mandatory" tip and non-tip worthy service, I've complained to the mgmt and had the tip removed from the bill.
A tip is for good service and what I remember about the mandatory tip for large groups is to insure that the server gets the tip they deserve, but again this should be able to be adjusted by mgmt to reflect the true level of service delivered.
Don't wait to the end of the meal to complain, I don't and in most instances mgmt has apologized and provided either discounted a portion of the meal or provided a free dessert.

Sep 30th 2009 1:12PM the reference in the first paragraph was an alphabetical one, it could have been A-Z for that matter. I was also expecting to see something specifc to Chili's & Morton's "offerings".
Mom Picks Up Daughter On Horse, School Balks {ParentDish}
Sep 8th 2009 8:27PM Just another school principal & school district with a superiority complex. If I were the parents, I'd sue the school for the cost of the fuel expended while sitting in line as well as the time spent.
The horse is probably safer than the parents that will be late getting to an after-school appointment and subsequently drive a little faster than they should thru the "construction".
So did the cops stay with the kid after they brought her home or did they just dump her off so she could wait for her mom??

Aug 26th 2009 8:10PM But yet, both Williams' boycott the Indian Wells tournament because her family heard a racist comment by someone in the stands?? Yes, that's some slob in the stands who may or may not have said something that the family considered racist is worth boycotting a tournament but this incident wasn't directed at the Williams' so play away. Do I smell a double standard, because it sounds like any insult that doesn't impact them personally isn't worth taking a real stand for.

Aug 26th 2009 7:49PM It's a SHAME the award didn't go to Roddick; it's a SHAME the ATP didn't stand up for it's player; it's a SHAME that other players didn't stand up for Peer; and it's a damn SHAME the ADL doesn't recognize what a real injustice they did by honoring a player who made no sacrifice other than after winning the tournament saying "it's a SHAME all of us couldn't be here". Where's the sacrifice?

Aug 2nd 2009 11:03AM Rules to protect mgt from making dumb decisions? Did he force mgt to sign the contract. The team knew about his injury history, so if you want to criticize someone, it's the team not the player. If someone offered you a guaranteed multi-million contract with questions about whether you could do the job you're being hired to do, would you sign? damn skippy you would. The team mgt drafted him, the team mgt negotiated with him and the team mgt signed the contract. duuuh.
