Jan 9th 2011 12:22PM The meteor occurs just a moment after the folks in the studio cut to the field for the live from the field report. It takes place at the 42 second mark while Mike is saying Hello. It happens very quickly. Less than a second.
And the other posters are correct. This is a very badly written article in which Alastair suggests that the eyes in the back of Michaels head were closed or looking elsewhere and missed the flash of meteor that occured when he was greeting his audience.

Shirtless and Sauced Dude Fails to Ruin Slash's Solo {PopEater}
Jun 16th 2010 10:03AM When did this "quick swap" of the guitar take place? I saw Slash attempting to play, I saw a roadie saunter out and eventually the guitar away. Slash wandered on the stage and took a drink from a plastic bottle, a guitar was eventually brought out and he continued playing. This took approximately 40ish seconds. I'm really curiuos why the PopEater writing staff took so many liberties in telling a simple tale. There was no "shifting of the body" on Slash's part. There was no "quick swap" of the guitar. Apparently the writing of this article didn't watch the video before writing the ensuing innacurate article. It's another example of journalism gone bad because writers are now too lazy to do the fact checking required.
