Dec 23rd 2011 9:01AM I love how the name is a play on United Airlines, because they really do suck. I was hoping the merger with Continental (the last decent legacy airline, IMO) would improve United but it looks like its going to be the other way around, and Continental fliers will experience a huge decline in quality.

Be happy you don't fly domestically for United. I flew four UA domestic legs in first class last week (two long enough for full meal service), and the food was awful. And this is coming from someone who generally likes airline food.
It was one course, save for a small cup of nuts for an appetizer, and no dessert. Both flights you had the choice of a sandwich or a salad (and one of these was a dinner flight). It's basically the equivelant of what you got in coach in the 90's. Worst 50,000 miles I ever spent.
Man am I going to miss Continental...

Jul 14th 2011 9:26AM It's not the government's job to try and tell us what we should and should not eat, which is basically the purpose of this tax - to discourage people from buying unhealthy foods. Watch for this to happen in the U.S. soon, with Michelle Obama running around on her obesity crusade (when she's not vacationing with her entourage on the taxpayers' dime).

Jun 22nd 2011 1:30PM Who cares? What do his attitude or personal views have to do with his flying ability? I mean come on were not talking about a teacher or a public official here, were talking about an airline pilot. I imagine most if the other flight crews on the frequency were cracking up in agreement.
Just because he offends your liberal sensibilities doesn't mean he should lose his job.
