In the Corner of the World - Where hitchhikers are welcome {Gadling}
Apr 22nd 2009 12:24PM I found myself stuck in a random town in Quebec and hitched. An old farmer who spoke NO English picked me up. He was very nice.
On the other coast I've picked up hitchhikers from the Vancouver area and gone up to Whistler for mountain biking and snowboarding. It's popular there and the company is good for the road.
Here in California it's a bit sketchy though.
