UK Passenger Jet Barely Misses UFO {Gadling}
May 2nd 2013 12:26PM A study was conducted years ago and not one shred of physical evidence could be found to substantiate any claim of "alien" encounters, abductions or events. If you believe everything people say they saw there must be aliens behind every bush!
Besides, what in the world do aliens want with us? They can fly though space at will and zip around the skies like bullets while we point and go," Holy cow - did you see that?" Meanwhile, we drive with our feet. Is that supposed to impress aliens? I doubt it!
It's the same with ghosts. What's the point in clattering around at night, creaking up and down stairs and spooking people in the hallway? Why not grab a broom and sweep up, do the dishes, mow the lawn or do something useful instead of sneaking around going, "Booo!" all day and night?
Just because you "believe in it" doesn't make it so!
Landlord Dennis Alan Van Dusen's Smoke Detectors Hid Spy Cameras {AOL Real Estate}
Apr 20th 2013 6:01PM Here's a good one. My wife worked at a place where a dozen women worked. When the new bathroom was built it turned out to be set up with cameras aimed at the toilet. When the ladies found out two of them quit immediately - but the rest of them decided to stay on because they "needed the job!" How does "the law" deal with willing participants?
Man Shames Wife He's Divorcing With Angry Sign Hung on House {AOL Real Estate}
Apr 2nd 2013 4:57PM I wish people would stop this prideful posturing. Fact is, UNTIL you are divorced ALL property is community, which means she can take it all if she wants to. A smart lawyer will demand that she be able to keep what she had at the time the judge signs the agreement. Husbands who think they make the rules need a reality check. In the end they'll split everything 50/50 (debts and assets) and all this noise and bluster will be irrelevant. Remember, YOU do not decide - the JUDGE decides, and he can split it all any way he wants. In fact, couples who come in bickering and fighting over stupid stuff get short shrift from the judge, who doesn't have time for that juvenile stuff. Decide what's going to whom BEFORE your go or the judge will decide for you!
Gun Owner Sean Blakley Says Landlord Is Evicting Him Over Firearms {AOL Real Estate}
Mar 17th 2013 11:48AM May as well add fuel to the fire. Did you know that if you declare bankruptcy they require you to sell your guns? If it's a constitutional right to own guns and that right "shall not be infringed," how does bankruptcy court get away with forcing a person too get rid of their guns? Just wonderin'.
The New New Orleans: Life Takes A New Direction After Katrina {Gadling}
Feb 17th 2013 3:03PM New Orleans sure has come a long way with OUR help, but it doesn't seem to go ANYWHERE to help anyone else. Where were the New Orleaners WE all helped after Katrina when Sandy hit NJ, or during the Mid-West floods, the California fires, the ice storms in the Northeast . . . All the people of New Orleans do is whine and cry about themselves while they insist on living in a place that is doomed to suffer a repeat the same disaster. Hop on the bus and go help the Americans who helped YOU and I'll be a lot more impressed with New Orleans. Friends of mine died working to repair the damage in NYC - people from Haiti and elsewhere showed up to pitch in, but NO ONE from New Orleans had time to make the trip. Nice!
Landlord From Hell Bans Pork, Long Showers, Overnight Guests {AOL Real Estate}
Jan 12th 2013 11:51AM When you become a landlord you'll understand. My renters broke every agreement we had, never cleaned the place (there was dog and cat crap everywhere, food spilled everywhere, sinks and toilets were never cleaned, never took out the trash, just let it pile up . . .). When they left (in the night, of course) they left behind 10,000 pounds (it was weighed - and I had to pay for it at the landfill) of junk, clothes and garbage. They ruined two rooms of brand new carpet, drilled holes in the walls and floors, smeared food on the walls and floors, left a dead cat in the garage and (worst of all) I got toxoplasmosis (look it up) from cleaning up their disgusting mess. Why do landlords have outrageous rules - because of their outrageous tenants! Never again!
A Message From the AOL.com Team {Portalblog}
Dec 21st 2012 10:47PM Educated people who go by the rules have to wake up and see that logic and intellect are not rampant among the citizenry - and never has been. Our prisons and jails are full (men's and women's), always have been, always will be. Laws are for the law-abiding - the rest do whatever they choose and laugh at the forms we fill out and the background checks we endure just to own a gun - and we haven't committed a single crime - ever! Making more laws to restrict the law-abiding is silly and counter-productive. When this country was founded everyone had the means and the right to protect themselves. Now we wait helplessly while shooters roam the halls, and by the time the "first responders" arrive the damage is done. No vigils, no teddy bears, no prayers are going to put an end to this - we've been there, done that at every event and, surprise, it happens again! Arm the teachers! Let those who will defend themselves and our kids and this evil will stop. Pass another ineffective, unenforceable law and we'll see another Newtown tragedy before long. Keep throwing logic and sensibility at evil and all you will get is more evil. You're right, it is time to stop this. Put the guns in the hands of the righteous for a change and the evil-doers will find some other way to vent their venom. Just prepare yourselves for another approach from them - they will not stop, they'll just change direction.

Dec 21st 2012 8:15AM Good idea! Next time a thug storms a school with an illegal weapon the teachers can all say, "Hey, that gun is banned. You can't kill us with that!" That should definitely do the trick!
It's time to stop wishing and hoping and praying and take serious action. Arm and train the teachers! Neither you nor I nor the SWAT teams, police, sheriffs or anyone else will be on hand when the next shooter shows up. If the teachers are trained and ready, HE goes down in a hail of bullets, not them. But, feel good about yourselves - pass more ineffective laws, put out some more teddy bears and buy more candles for your vigils and wring your hands in despair as you hope this never happens again . . . again . . . again . . .
Kate Gosselin Misses Terri Irwin More Than Palin {PopEater}
Jul 5th 2011 2:03AM KG is a beautiful and sexy woman but that's it. She should have known that Palin (and every other politician out there) is just going to use the people around her as pawns. KG was "hot" at the time but no more, so of course she's not hearing from anyone. Sad to say, pretty as she is, KG has no personality, looks so sad all the time and obviously can't dance! She needs to go home, get a job, forget the limelight and forget "stardom." Pretty girl, great bod but there's more to "it" than that. She doesn't have "it" and Palin knows it.
Howie Mandel's Got Talent (and OCD): 'I'm a Professional Neurotic' {PopEater}
Jul 3rd 2011 9:47AM Howie should have a micro-photograph taken of himself right after he showers. When he sees the multitude of mini-creepies all over his body he will freak out. Thinking you can avoid micro-organisms is foolish! He should get some counseling. Look at the time and effort he wastes on his germ problem - and I'm sure he stays in high-end hotels. Meanwhile, in the next room they just walk in and enjoy the place. His is a self-inflicted paranoia. I'm sure the street people in India would love to have him visit!
