Mar 16th 2011 2:16PM Wrong. Last time I used a travel agent she charged me extra because I wanted a balcony. When I arrived at hotel in Nassau, Bahamas, I found out that all rooms had a balcony and after checking with hotel about prices, I realised I had paid more for my vacation than if I had booked directly with hotel. Also if I booked directly with hotel I would have had the chance to swim with the dolphins - free.
When I returned the following year I booked through hotel and paid less than people did online and yes I got to swim with the dolphins - free.

Oct 3rd 2010 4:04PM Maybe if treatment was a lot less expensive people would be able to pay bills. Examples: visit ER in USA, see Doctor for all of two minutes, diagnosis - broken arm put in cast - $2,000. Visit ER in HongKong, very similar situation - $300. Have radiation treatment for breast cancer for 6wks. Cost USA $30,000. Same treatment in Paris $8,500. Still living to tell story, so do not reply with answer that treatment no good. There seems to be something wrong with this picture. Maybe greed took over instead of keeping costs at rates where people could afford to pay them and not have to worry about extra debt (as well as illness). Also if rates were lower people could afford to have treatment and not basically walk away and die, like a friend of mine did because he couldn't afford $30,000 for the necessary surgery and they wouldn't allow a payment plan. USA does seem to be more expensive than other countries when it comes to cost of treatment.

Mar 26th 2009 10:29AM Debbie Meyer green bags have to be the biggest rip off. Fruit and veggies went bad in record time. I not only wasted money on the bags but, I had to go out and buy fruit and veggies again in less than 2 days.
