Mar 23rd 2009 5:06PM I too have been to India and was interested in the reactions...as you know nothing happens except in Indian time...thus the driver not immediately available....the poverty...yes it is overwhelming because there is so much of it at once...but time to take off your western glasses and see the country on its own and for what it is without comparisons...those kids wouldn't survive if they didn't scrounge....it is not a welfare state and no one cares about those people...survival of the fittest as they say....I have seen people scrounge and eat from the garbage here in North America...certainly not in the volume that it happens in India...even so, I wonder if Luke or any of them sheds tears over the same things that happen here in North America?
