Travel-themed Halloween costume idea #2: Sex tourist and prostitute {Gadling}

Oct 30th 2009 10:45AM Damn.

I suppose next you are going to suggest that I dress my kids up as "child trafficking victim" in a tank top and underwear. Maybe you should change it to to Gadling's tasteless travel costume ideas.

I know you are trying to be funny, but really isn't Gadling "suppose to be" a site that promotes travel...not stereotype and trivialize people oppressed by the sex-trade business.

I'm no prude but this is pure tackiness.

Gadling's tips for frequent flyer miles {Gadling}

Jun 1st 2008 4:33AM I was in love with my Delta AMEX for a long time because I got miles for flying, miles for buying the ticket with my AMEX, and then miles for dollars when using AMEX, and Grant is right wait until the tickets is expensive. I just used some miles to buy my mom a ticket to come visit us in the Czech Republic which retailed for $1500. It costs me 100,000 miles (round trip) and $56 for a booking fee.

Then I applied for the Citi PremierePass Mastercard which is even better because you can use the points, Thank You points, on Expedia.com with no black out dates. If you have a Citibank account you can link that too and gain points faster.

The nice thing about these programs is that you don't have to use them for just travel, you can buy stuff. Not a bad way to get a new computer, a LCD TV, or a gift certificate to Home Depot.

Afghan hijacker found working at Heathrow {Gadling}

May 22nd 2008 7:32AM Hijacking a plane and putting others at risk seem a little extreme to gain your own personal freedom, and it seems like it still should still disqualify you from getting a job at the airport. Right up there with education and drug/alcohol testing.

Sure he hasn't hijacked a plane lately and that first time was just an a mistunderstanding he just escaping persecution, but I like the guy lets give him a job.

Please.

If I robbed a bank it is unlikely that I will get a job as a bank. If I got a DUI it is unlikely that I would get a job as a bus driver. I think the same probably goes for hijacking planes.

Afghan hijacker found working at Heathrow {Gadling}

May 21st 2008 3:45AM You have got to be kidding me. All the multi-million dollars spent by countries world over to fight the "War on Terror" and we can't even screen airport employees properly. Scary!

New York Helicopter Taxi: Getting to the Airport on Time {Gadling}

Jun 23rd 2007 7:02PM Hell, considering I just paid $120 for a cab ride from downtwon Milan to Milan's international airport 45 minutes away, I'd say this was a deal!

Car DVD Players {Gadling}

Apr 30th 2007 7:09PM Do what I did and go get a decent but not expensive portable DVD player. The almost always have the cigarette lighter plugin and a battery (just in case). Marry that with the portable DVD player case from CaseLogic that lets you suspend the DVD player between the two front seats, and you are good to go.

The CaseLogic case has a headphone jack splitter so you can plug to pairs of headphones. The only thing you have to deal with now is fighting over which movie they will watch.

For the Perfect Pilsner, Try Plzen. {Gadling}

Mar 21st 2007 10:11AM Check your facts bud. Plzen is still in the Czech Republic and they are very proud of it. You might want to change your article.

Lake Worth's Amazing Streetpainting Festival (A Photo Essay) {Gadling}

Feb 28th 2007 3:16PM Thanks for sharing Willy. The photo essay was a great idea, and certainly brought us reading from the Czech Republic to this festival in Florida.

Cheers!

Photo of the Day (October 23, 2006) {Gadling}

Oct 23rd 2006 7:20PM Great shot! Looks faster than a Skoda (mine anyways) and it makes me want to go out and buy a transparent rain poncho.

Seriously though, this shot certainly conjures thoughts of fortuna, we "privilegiado americanos" sometimes take for granted that our 2.3 cars are way over the top compared to how the large majority of the world transports themselves.
