Top 10 travel-themed 80's songs {Gadling}

Oct 6th 2009 11:46AM Ok, since I am a total 80's freak, can I just add some from my obscure list? I Ran by A Flock of Seagulls, Life in a Northern Town by Dream Academy, The Paris Match by The Style Council, Baker Street by Gerry Rafferty, Englishman in New York by Sting.

And oh, I recently watched U2 in Toronto, and they totally rocked "Still Haven't Found..." and "Where the Streets Have No Name"!

Through the Gadling Lens: enhancing vacation shots with macro photography {Gadling}

Jul 2nd 2009 11:17AM i love my 100 mm macro lens! it's great for portraiture also!

London Black Cabs voted best in the world - Parisian cabbies the rudest {Gadling}

Jun 3rd 2009 1:38PM I took a cab once in Paris when their Metro was on strike. Actually, I had a pretty good experience. My cab driver told me he used to work for Euro Disney but got "disenchanted". He was really nice to me. First, I didn't have enough Francs (yes, it was quite some time ago), so he let me pay half in Francs and half in Dollars. Then, I didn't have enough money to cover my fare, but he was ok about it.

Wacky sign of the week - what does this mean? {Gadling}

Afraid of flying? One man's cure: flying non-stop for a month {Gadling}

Jun 2nd 2009 1:43PM In light of the Air France tragedy, I wish him luck! Maybe this is what I need to calm my recently developed fear in flying. Too many airline crashes in the news lately...

Angry rush to cockpit forces Delta flight to land in Boston, not Tel Aviv {Gadling}

Apr 27th 2009 11:23AM When flying to Israel, El Al is the best. Before my Toronto-Tel Aviv flight, they grilled me about my blog (do I write about religious issues?). Then, before they let me go, the security guy turns to me, "oh, i know it's hard, but don't worry about your 2-year-old, she won't even remember that you left." Creepy, but I was happy to have raised my blog stats. They also put my carry-on on "special transfer" to be picked up at the gate before boarding (i know they looked through my laptop while it was on "transit", as I have very specific ways of zipping up my case). But overall, I would feel safer flying to Israel with El Al.

Canadian hostages in Jamaican airport {Gadling}

Apr 20th 2009 1:26PM What is it about the Canadian airline industry making waves these days? First, it was the man who jumped out of the plane, next is a Canadian flight that was hijacked. Winters are very depressing over here...

Cuba Libre: High-end hotels and money in Havana {Gadling}

Apr 16th 2009 1:04PM I think the Convertible is such a rip off! It's a random, made-up monetary unit that makes travel to Cuba unnecessarily more expensive than it should be (at least, that's my opinion). Thanks. I do love Havana, though.

Andy Rooney to travelers: "Get off my lawn!" {Gadling}

Apr 16th 2009 10:16AM We should send Ali G back there again. That was funny!
