Jan 8th 2012 7:06PM As someone who travels with a dog alot, I'd add a collar with ID tags, phone # of someone who can be reached at home, your cell#, and maybe your vets #. Also take a couple of GOOD pictures of your dog, front view and side veiw, groomed and ungroomed, in case they do get lost you can share the pictures with folks who may help you look for the dog. Keep th pictures in an envelop with the shot records, can be taped to the crate.

I DO have a good understaning of what a guardian is!! That's why I KNOW Iidon't want to e one. I'll let you be just a guardian, as long as you will allow me to be my dog" OWNER. and allow me to pride for my animals as Ithink best, without peta or hsus telling me what Icanandcannot do!

Jan 17th 2011 9:22AM While I agree with much of ths article, I STRONGLY disagreewith the term guardian. I am much more than only a guardian to my OWNED dogs and cats. I paid money for them, weather I bought them from a rescue, a shelter, or a breeder. They are MINE. I get to make all decisions about thei rcare, what vet care they get and when, what they are fed, when it's time to put them to sleep. If I was onlly a guardian, someone else would be in charge of their lives. NO thank you, I OWN my pets.

Dec 16th 2010 10:28AM Working with HSUS is not a plus in my view!! They are using him to bring in more $$$, he is using them to make him self look more honest. Yes, he paid his time,yes he has a job, BUT he should never own an animal of any kind just like some drunk drivers are never allowed to drive and some child molesters can never have contact with a child and felons cannot own a fire arm. they are all the same to me. Would I ever sell him a dog? no, watch him play football? no, that's my choice, but he does have the right to playandearn money to support his family.

Dec 9th 2010 8:52PM Dog training has changed a lot in the last 20 years no longer can you correct bad behavior you must "redirect " you dogs behavior. Part of the solution is better training for ALL pets and their owners including corrections when needed. Like children dogs need to have limits set and clearly understood.

Sep 5th 2010 10:18PM Glad it works for some of you, It doesn'twork on my Chows coat, instead I use a metal COMB, not a brush to get all the way down to the skin. It was a waste of my money.
St. Louis Gateway Arch is rusting {Gadling}
Aug 24th 2010 8:32AM The arch is beautiful, the park grounds around it make for a very nice green space in the city. I hope before they redo the grounds they fix whatever the problem is with this national tresure.
