Sep 7th 2011 2:58PM I learned a long time ago while traveling on cruises and in hotels for my job that I use a handgun case that looks like a metal briefcase with a combo lock and I have a pair of handcuffs that I secure it to something in the room that is to big or heavy to run off with. I bought all of this at a gun shop. :) It was less than $100 total. I sleep much better now while traveling.
Jan 12th 2010 7:58PM I have to agree that bringing any attention to the severity of any Cancer is positive and worthwhile. I found the facebook bra color threads as a good conversation starter. I am a Male Nurse at a very large female prison. Coming from a large family of cancer survivors on the maternal side and being a colon cancer survivor the awareness month and bra color threads prompted me to make another donation and also to spend money on Mary Kay Breast exam cards for the shower and I handed out hundreds to the women I work with. If I as a man was drawn to do this strictly from people talking about it what other positive actions might some other people do in their own small way that make save a life. perhaps someone with little education will use my card, notice something unusual, get prompt attention and be spared. Who should judge anyone trying to help in their own way? That is why people quit helping others and only care about themselves. They figure the little bit they can do won't help.
But I chose to take a chance, be vulnerable, risk ridicule to do my part.
