Apr 29th 2010 3:45AM Secession is NOT treason. Picking away at and attempting to destroy our Constitution (as written by our Founding Fathers) IS.
Our Founding Fathers (with what we 'could' call 'limited education' today, but was the 'best' to be had in their time) were far wiser than the men (and women) we seem to have 'ruining'....I mean running... our country today.
Their words were simple and (pretty much) 'to the point' in what they 'expected' of a government, how it should be run and it's 'actions' applied to and for the benefit of ALL ....NOT just a select few or 'favored' groups.
You can't go wrong by 'sticking to the basics', ever. But, when you start 'fiddling' here and there to make everything come out your way (good or bad) that does NOT work for the MAJORITY (for those who don't know the meaning of this word...it means 'the MOST or larger BULK) of the people and NOT just for the benefit of the MINORITY (...meaning the FEW).
There is no such thing as POLITICALLY CORRECT. When was the last time a politician ever did 'anything' correct? -- Other than the creation of our Constitution, that is.
I spent 20-plus years in the U.S. Army defending you, mine and other's rights to 'speak their minds' and to (as you would say, to be 'Politically Correct') 'agree to disagree' and to keep the 'Spirit of Freedom' alive around the world; BUT, I'll be damned if I'll stand by idly and let 'others' desecrate our flag or the Constitution upon which this great nation was founded. You start 'down-grading' the Constitution and belittling our flag and MY country and "you're standing on the fightin' side of me". And if need be, I'll use every bit of my Army training to counter your attack(s) on the same.

Sep 18th 2009 9:33AM All I could hear was the 'bleeping' sound where the 'word' in controversy should be heard. Typical of this kind of 'news reporting'...ONLY show what 'you' want to (try) and get a 'scoop', make headlines or 'get noticed' (for BS). Doesn't AOL, NBC, ABC, CBS or ANY of the news 'pushers' (as in DRUG PUSHERS) have anything better to do than 'twist' the words or what REALLY took place or was said? How sad that people BELIEVE such TRASH and MISCONCEPTION. No wonder the world (the USA in particular) is so SCREWED UP. I'm almost ashamed that I'm an American because of the actions and 'spoutings' of my (so-called) countrymen/women.
The best bet is to .... Believe HALF of what you see, NOTHING of what you hear and ONLY what you can READ 'BETWEEN' the lines.

First Convicted Cyber-Bully Is Jailed {Switched}
Aug 25th 2009 11:38AM CyberBullying doesn't just start, stop and apply to teens, 'tweens' or younger. It tends to apply to all ages in the 'CyberWorld'. Parents need to 'teach' their kids (early - the earlier, the better) what may or may not happen to them during the 'growing up' process. Then too, the parents need to 'educate' themselves of what is happening in the world around them (as well as their childeren). If you don't know the 'subject matter' then you can't 'teach the lesson'. Bullying (of any kind) is NOT going to go away - not in 'this world's lifetime'; at least NOT until EVERYONE is 'educated' on 'how' to be civil to their fellow man/woman/countrymand and/or worldly neighbor. Then too, people need to learn to NOT wear their hearts on their sleeves. I (for one) don't care what anyone says or thinks about me. If I did, I'd be a basket case (or a victim of 'their' thoughts and words). If you ignore the 'bully' they'll go away because they don't see any 'results' of their words/actions, etc. and look for 'easier' pickings. If everyone did this to them (the bullies) then they'd have NOTHING to pick on and would (eventually) HAVE to stop because it would be a waste of their time doing so, with no 'response' being received. Pretty simple, when you THINK about it. When you 'turn the tables' on the 'bully', it's usually them (they) who 'run away' and hide. Why? Because they get a 'taste of their own medicine' and don't like it.

Jobs and Birth Order {AOL Jobs}
Aug 20th 2009 7:04AM I'm a 'first born' of a large (total of 5 kids) family. In my case, this story is BULL!! The last sentence says it all..."these are just general trends -- and that the whole birth-order theory can be turned on its head depending on the child's personality, the age gap between siblings and the family circumstances each child experiences during his or her formative years."
The middle child in my family died at an early age (30 y/o). The next oldest (after me) and the youngest (both male) have better jobs than I do, the eldest has college (don't know for sure about the youngest) and the youngest child of all (our sister) had a nice job before retiring. So, in 'my case' this article is HOGWASH!! I was going to go to college but found out I was 'too over-qualified'. I'd already received my diploma from the 'School of Hard Knocks' -- you know, the one (school) that still teaches COMMON SENSE, respect for your fellow man and (in America) The Constitution and Bill of Rights; and Justice (meaning NO ONE is ABOVE THE LAW)?!?

Aug 20th 2009 6:45AM Why not 'make' them ride the 'water rides' first (and 'dunk 'em good') before being allowed to rider the others. You know, 'run 'em through 'car wash' fashion...a little 'pre-reinse' before the 'main attraction'. Or do like they do at the public pools...they have to take a shower first 'before entering' (riding). :-) ;-) :-P
