5 tips for sleeping in your car {Gadling}
Feb 25th 2011 2:14PM I have always slept in the car when traveling. I usually had my daughter with me and I just felt safer and more comfortable in my car. Once in awhile on a long trip we would stay overnight in a camp ground...some even have laundry facilities..as well as shower and toilets. We traveled a lot and had a great time on very little money. The other trick is to buy your groceries at a store and don't eat out !!! Saves a ton of money and is usually better for you. Now I'm 60 and I'd still do it rather than stay in a motel.
Forget Popcorn; Executive Demands Healthy Treats at Movie Theaters {PopEater}
Mar 20th 2010 12:40PM My father was a supplier of popcorn to the movies all his life. Popcorn is GOOD FOR YOU. Just ask the federal government. They did experiments in the 50's to see if popcorn they used to package things sent to other countries could be used as a food suppliment to starving countries. Our family had to try all kinds of different "popcorn" dishes. The one we really didn't like was popcorn breakfast cereal with milk and sugar. Now that was awful.
But popped right in the theaters popcorn is good for you.
Holiday Shopping Deals on eBay (Under $10!) {Holidash News}
Dec 14th 2009 11:15AM I shop and sell eBay when I can. If I've done my homework and checked ads in my area and I watch carefully I can save money. I also don't have to go out to shop and fight the people in the stores and on the roads only to find out the item I wanted is gone. There is no impulse shopping either and things come right to my door. i have done this for the past three years and other than a trip to Walgreens while I get my meds, I find stocking stuffers, I have done 95% of my Xmas shoping on eBay.
Wonderful Weirdos Day: 10 travel weirdos who deserve thanks {Gadling}
Sep 9th 2009 10:18PM My father who when ever we went camping managed to make sure it rained. One night he chased raccoons that stole our marshmellows. The following morning we found out we had csamped in a dry creek bed as our picnic table floated away LOL
'Twinkie Tax' a ploy to empty wallets, not waistbands {WalletPop}
Jul 29th 2009 5:37PM Sure tax the sweets !!! Go ahead. But make fresh fruits and vegtables more affordable. I have to eat a very strict diet because of my health and cannot afford to buy the fresh pineapple I need. Or the strawberries or watermelon for that matter. I'm not allowed a potato much less a potato chip. Lower the price on sweet potatoes, squash, fresh beans and lettuce ! Stock more sugar free foods. And make their prices the same as the suger stuffed foods instead of higher. People eat what they can pay for even if it means their health suffers.
How to Have Phone Sex (Even if You're Shy) -- Tips from a Pro {Lemondrop}
Mar 7th 2009 1:04AM I always wanted to be a phone sex operator. I really get off on phone sex. i'm a lucky woman...don't have to be touched to orgasm. Just talk in my ear is enough for me and usually the guy knows it and loves that it is working for me as well as for him. Of course I like the real deal with my love but the phone is a great way to go or come.
