'The Lovely Bones' Trailer Is Rather Lovely {Inside Movies Blog}
Aug 9th 2009 5:39AM I agree with you. It is a very mediocre book and I was amazed by how well it sold. I think people who read literature saw right through this book and people who don't really read that much found it easy to get through with is little pop idea of dead people being able to revenge their killer, or make their family feel at peace or whatever. The Lovely Bones was on the same level as The Bridges of Madison County (remember that little charmer?) and The Secret Life of Bees. People like us need more to their books. And, I'm not a big fan of Jackson's directing, either...so another strike for the film.
35 Years Since Petit Walked Twin Towers {Asylum}
Aug 7th 2009 6:06PM don't get it: He walked across 7 times, did summersaults, laid down and relaxed and everything whilst police were waiting to nab him on either side. At one point he discards his shoes. Watch the film. It's amazing.
35 Years Since Petit Walked Twin Towers {Asylum}
Aug 7th 2009 6:02PM Man On Wire is a BEAUTIFUL documentary. I really recommend seeing it. It helped me get over the trauma of losing the Twin Towers...because Petit saw them as this magical challenge, not as a way to destroy our faith in mankind.

SkyMall Monday: Electric Travel Blanket {Gadling}
Mar 3rd 2009 8:57PM Mike,
Does SkyMall sell a gadget that makes all week days into Mondays? Because, seriously, it's hard to wait 6 whole days until your next uber-gem of insight comes my way. You make me want to fly on planes again, even if I don't have a destination. If I use my airline-mile credit cards on SkyMall purchases that my life cannot be complete without, do I get extra miles? Because, seriously, I need a way to fly just so I can read SkyMall and realize how very empty my life is without a Slanket or a robotic dog that sh*ts chocolate kisses. I would even fly to Detroit if it meant getting extra time with the latest SkyMall cataloug. Keep up the good work, Mike. The world is a lonelier place without you. I love you, man.
