Feb 24th 2009 1:55PM The pilot is a jerk. The flight attendants were doing their job. Should they have contacted the FAA? Maybe not. There should be another way to report someone without going after their license. A professional standards committee or something like that. For all the comments about "gals" and find another job etc. you really don't know what you are talking about. Whether you like it or not, the flight attendants are there to save your sorry butt in case the pilots make a mistake or the plane has a problem. Stop being so sexist and look at the big picture. They are a crew - they work together - ask any pilot or flight attendant and they will tell you the same thing. Only the uninformed traveling public doesn't get it. Ask a frequent traveler - they get it or at least they should.
