I Was Evacuated from Egypt {AOL Travel News}
Feb 4th 2011 8:55PM Thank God she got home because the American Embassy in Cairo did not do their part to secure flights out of Cairo. My question is: What is their role for American's if it is not to relay information. If my 19 year old, who was also there studying Arabic relyed on us to relay the messages to them there is a 7 hour difference in time zones. Thank God this girl got home but also glad to hear she would like to return to Egypt.
Egyptian people are kind and generous it is the thugs that we should focus our anger on.
Heathrow annoying, Americans rude according to some social network {Gadling}
Feb 23rd 2009 12:33PM Just flew home Saturday from LHR, it has one feature most US airports do not have, great transportation to the city. The Underground from Heathrow can easily connect to most parts of London, for under 5 pounds for a day pass. The Hotel information booth near the Underground platform can not only find an inexpensive hotel or youth hostel, but can show you a picture of the place and the friendly girl behind the counter can check avialabilty and will even call and make a reservation for you. Found a small hotel in central London for 40 pounds a day. Try that in Newark, Philly, or Washington Dulles
