Feb 18th 2009 7:10AM In re the story's complaint about Lilo turning up in Polynesia: Lilo is Hawaiian, and Hawaii is a part of Polynesia. It was Polynesian long before it was American. So (assuming you're OK with adding the characters) Lilo is right where she belongs. I believe this adds another educational opportunity to the ride.
P.S. My history with this ride goes back to the 64/65 World's Fair. I haven't seen the additions, but I expect they're OK if they are all stylized in keeping with the other figures. Many people howled when characters came to Epcot, but that's turned out well.
